Having had dachshunds I can vouch for this: They will chase the ball until the universe collapses upon itself. Plus or minus a billion years. Actually, plus.
I had a Dachshund for 17 years, best dog I ever had. I miss him terribly, his name was [My Harry Son] .Her arm will fall off throwing the ball before they will stop!! These dogs are fearless & determined but loving all at the same time. They will do whatever you do and love it.
they are A-DORE-ABLE!!!! sooooo cute how they kind of "toss" the ball for a re-throw!!! omg! sooo cute. alert. communicative. playful. aware. doxies are a gift to those around them.
that's what i found interesting, they run before the ball is thrown to give them a head start and the never fight or bump into each other and always bring back their own coloured ball...amazing!
OMG! This is my boy! There are times I have to put the ball up, because he is panting so hard, and yard work, no way, the only reason I would ever go off the porch, is to throw the ball, he pushes the ball, whereever I'm digging, in the pond, then him and his son, bark and bark, under the couch, my guy got stuck behind the couch, 1x before, he literally managed to get between the wall and couch, while we were gone, 3 balls back there, looking into a ball thrower, soon as it gets a patent, tried another type, balls to big for him...love my ball obsessed Doxie!
My doxie never played ball. Just looked at me as if to say "ha! not gonna happen". Then rolled over and fell asleep. She's sleeping beside me as I type this....
My Ollie is 6 months old and is "meh" about chasing balls. He has a few Chuckies. He will chase his Kong "Wubba" retrieve it, squeak it, and shake it until I put it away. My previous dachshund loved his tennis balls.
They are so cute and adorable. I love how each one of them knows which ball is theirs. My long haired dachshund will not fetch balls, but she will fetch towels or anything cloth like.
We have 3 dachshunds, a mini, standard and a wire haired. Our standard loves shag the ball, while the mini and wire haired love to play chase. They are a fun breed to have and enjoy. Really great little dog with a big dog type attitude.
Great video .... My old dachshund looked EXACTLY like the black dachshund .... We had to put him down a few years back because he had kidney problems . This video made me feel and think happy. 🙂
Oh that is so funny! How many of those balls do they have? I used to raise minature Doxies years ago and then I had 6. There's nothing like a Doxie and yours are just precious!
they know how to play ball I like the way the brown one throw it to u I like the way the brown n black give it too u I have a Maltese n she is lazy she only bark n bite when sum body hit me
My ball obsessed Doxie, can catch a ball, but you try to get him to catch a treat, he turns or ducks, every single time, gets in his hair, his son barks for me to throw the ball, the dad catches, if the son gets it 1st, he gives it to the dad..
I have two.... a female longhair mini Beautiful Molly and another my son found on craigs list some one gave him away his name is Rowdy thank god I got him no telling what might have been....the sweetest boy never knew love till I got him...
No offense but, the thing that I don't like about your Dachshund (the one that is light brown) he throws it at you, while the black and tan Dachshund goes near you and leaves it,other than that, your Dachshunds are cute, I wish I was as cute as them!
I miss baby dachshund. I wish my ex wife didn't take her when we split up,my baby dachshund the only thing that made me happy every time I get off work. she's always waiting for me when I come home
Bella & Rye aren't as interested in balls so much as they like to chase squirrels, rabbits, mice, cats etc.... I have to pin them down & repeat "Give it!" before they let go of their kill.
