@@HerculesWFT your comment make 0 sense and only tells me that English is not your first language and that you probably translated that comment from your language into English

Dacia has become the new VW of the old days . I dont know you but i think this car looks wayyyy better than the new Tiguan and probably once you put all options etc it might be even be 15.000 euro cheaper . Well done Dacia
@@mihayy2000 yep, just as i imagined . The TIGUAN here in italy STARTS with basic motoro and optionals from 41050 euro . there you go . Make it full hybrid, put some optionals and there you are at 45k or more
Problem with Chinese cars is the quality and reliability isn't there, MG is very hit and miss. DACIA are using existing tried and tested Renault parts.
Renault is killing it with Dacia in the last few years. This price for this size and for this kind of HEV drive is absulotely nuts, they éven cranked uo the engine from 1.6 to 1.8, and we know from past years that this E-Tech drive is bulletproof. After years of hegemony, Toyota may get a potent comoetitor with this power train. We know damn well that Renault will pack this updated HEV system in all their upcoming facelifts, not just Dacia. Renault/Dacia is the new light in the dark, the past VW we all loved in the 00s. As a Renault/Toyota owner I like this Bigster a lot, hope it will cause serious headache for other manufacturers in the C segment SUV market.

Dacia Bigster was supposed to be the first Fully Electric Full SUV of Dacia, with all new feature full NISHTA protection systems... At least when it was just a concept.
It is shame that they rebadged Duster as Renault in Turkiye. They also sell the automatic version for a high price tag. They worked years to create a new brand identity for Dacia and then decided to rebadged their duster as Renault. Weird.

This car must have a high torque diesel engine... 2.0 190hp 400nm torque with 4x4 would fit it perfectly. 1.2 litre 3 cilinder in a car like this is a crime
Those 19" rims are way overkill for that chassis. It looks pretty hideous with those. Extreme version looks way better. Also these 3 cylinder engines does not make any sense with a bigger and heavier body. Renault went nuts with killing the older 1.33tce which was a fantastic engine. Shame on them.
Trend of having big rims on off-road/SUV and luxury cars such as S class should stop. Smaller = better, ride comfort, NVH and long-term reliability is better.
car looks awesome, it could be a new success from Dacia, I consider owning one when they get all the first generation kinks out :) great video as always!
Good presentation, nice car! But to be honest, I was rooting for 7 seats, to better differentiate form Duster. But the 1.8, 4 cylinders engine is a nice addition.
7 seats might be an optional feature on higher trims 4x4 & hybrid, do not expect too much room left on the back though, beside those extra 2 foldable seats will be mostly used for kids and the fact that the mass-weight of vehicle will increase..
Wow. I am impressed. I didn't believe they would put all of this into the car. 670 liters of boot space for 25k is amazing. This will steal so much sales from Tucson, Sportage and Kodiaq. The only thing I don't like is the renault strips on the back and the black back windows/roof. Design wise I fell in love with the new Duster straight away. With this one I will have to get used to it. Maybe it's just the color. Great job Dacia!
Hello Thomas. Another nice one! Thanks. I love the repetitive Y theme in the design ... In the air vents, the front lights, the arm supports. I love it
Why didnt they offer 4x4 with the 4 cylinder engine 😥😥😥 Looks great but i'm not buying one because of that, 1.2 3 cilynder 4x4 is to weak for this size car.
There’s another engine config in the pipeline a year after release, a 1.2 tce dual clutch auto hybrid with the rear axle driven by the battery. The current auto boxes on duster are a bit weird, so definitely the dual clutch auto will be interesting to watch.
Pull out the 3 cylinder out and throw inside a 2nd gen Nissan X-trail motor unit from SH market maybe other different parts as well (better shocks, axles, rear diff) since it will fit properly and will not broke your bank account.. after all you will still get a very good affordable SUV that looks cool and is proved to be reliable.
Frankly, this Dacia BISTER is going to be a hit with great success, a sort of French-style TOUAREG 🇨🇵 and a very affordable, very concrete alternative to the Tange Rover, GLE, ML, X7, Q7, Cayenne.
From design perspective it looks really good. Price can make you jump in to the air out of pure joy. But when I consider that I would be carrying my family in this thing, I immediately wake up from that dream. Which also thanks to the neutrality of Thomas, he mentions in the video along with the price.
I like the design, and the price seems "relatively" fair. They should sell a lot of these light, environmentally friendly, 'fast charging' vehicles. Great review again both. TY
An interesting thing is that while the taillights enclosure is the same as on the duster, these are clearly LED (except for the blinker) while on the duster they're halogen.
It’s a shame they couldn’t have added a little more soft materials to the doors and dash as this would help mop up some noise. Otherwise a good job for the price point. Great review as always Thomas.
I been thinking about getting this in 4x4 spec shame the finished vehicle is nothing like the concept, very basic materials inside and low power, but less than 30k is a temptation for sure . Great reviews as always Tomas✴️. D🇬🇧
i know looks are not everything but that whole illuminated logo bar they showed before at showrooms was cooler than this simple material grille, i would've loved to see a straight up led bar and a lit up logo.
OMG, Renault are doing some great things in the area of design. It looks astonishing! But I thought and hope it would be longer than 4,57. Is not that big. Or maybe Duster become too short. I am affraid of the price, since Duster is at the door of 30k. It is also very impressive in the interior and in the trunk. It is not a luxury car, but it has some improvements for a Dacia.
Very interesting item for the market. But why there will be no Diesel engines even in extreme version. Are they out of K9K dCi Motors? with manual gear box it would be a bargain!!!!
8:36 non-adjustable shallow cup holders at an angle (even without the head restraint) with the contents of the trunk flying through the first time the brakes are applied. At least the engineer was able to check the "cup holder in the rear" box on the checklist? 😂
Yeah, it was a shame to see that. I hope the price will reflect that, it shouldn't start from above 23.000€ since the duster starts at 19.000€ and this is just a longer Duster.
In the previous Duster, the seating position was poor-in my opinion, I'm 193cm tall -you were almost sitting on the floor. How did you experience the new Duster and Bigster regarding seat placement? Is the ergonomics better? Thanks Thomas for a very good channel!
Doesn't look hot to me. Too much of a Duster clone. I get they didn't want to stray too much beyond €30k but this is a bigger car than Duster and yet it can't do anything so much better that it's clearly the better choice despite the extra money. Needs much more powerful pure ICE engines. A 4x4 170+ HP diesel (or even petrol) would make this car much more attractive. Money are not wisely spent overall. That middle arm rest in the back is terrible, it would've been better to have none. The integrated cup holders are unusable too. They should've kept the alloys smaller, throw out the sunroof, throw out the powered rear hatch and put some money into better materials for door fascias and generally the interior. With a car this big it's really jarrying to get large pieces of hard plastic on the inside. Anyway, Bigster's biggester problem is it doesn't differentiate enough from the Duster. It's litterally the Duster but a bit biggerer. That won't be enough to bring in significant new sales. As a Romanian, of course, I hope it'll do well but as a car enthusiast... I think it will just eat into Duster's sales.
I think it really looks good compared to all the weird Chinese looking cars that are competing around the same price range.. but I also agree with you there isn’t much compelling buyers to go for this over the duster especially when they share those weak power trains! And this is bigger and a bit heavier, I mean if you want 4x4 you forced to get the weakest of the variant. I don’t know what logic Dacia is using to justify that. Like you said this car with a 170+hp 4x4 petrol better yet diesel would be an absolute gem at that price
@@nmvi226 The major blocker against good ICE engines is the EU and their industry-killing emission fines invented in TOTAL disconnect from technical & scientific reality. With the current engine lineup, Dacia is close to the ~116 g of CO2 / km boundary, below which there are no fines but starting from next year the boundary arbitrarily moves down to ~94 g and the fines are ~95 EUR for each gram above. So the prices of current Dacias already need to shoot up by well over 2000 EUR (you have to add VAT to the fine) just to keep profitability leveled. A more powerful ICE with 170+ HP has become utterly unaffordable to regular people because just the engine would make the car more expensive by 10000 EUR due to CO2 fines.
Good thing that when it arrives in South America they will surely put a 2.0l aspirated with 6-speed manual transmission ... as the Fluence GT had .... And 180hp.
Gloss black should be banned from cars! haha In fact I proposed to Thomas to create the "Piano black Police" if you know about the reference to "Fake exhaust police" hehe
Hm, if the car doesn't have GPS, how does the allowed speed recognition work? Only visual? I had the impression most systems use combination of map data and visual recognition.
If it’s like the engines in the jogger, the hybrid can’t tow as much as the 1.0 petrol. Maybe the 130 has a map more suited to off roading, with more low down torque and the expense of peak power?
A lot of weird decision from Dacia. All wheel drive on the least powerful model and it has to be manual, you’d think it makes more sense to put AWD on the 155hp and make it both automatic and manual, charge a bit more and let the customer choose and pay for what they really want. Plus the140/130hp duster was already under powered this bigger version won’t do any better🤦♂️. It would have been better to offer 1 version of the 1.2 140hp lpg fwd, Then have the 1.8 hybrid with 155hp 2wd and finally 1.8 hybrid or 2l with 180+hp 4wd petrol but diesel would be the sweet spot. With this they’ll own the market.
I was so impressed until you revealed the 130bhp AWD 😬 that’s not enough for a car of this size. Dacia are going to miss out on a lot of sales without a more potent engine option
Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory! This should have been a funky, 7 seat bargain Discovery Sport rival, instead it's just a facsimile of the Duster. What a disappointment.
"big brother of the Duster" with the same weaker engine(compared to mine 4x4 150hp 2020 Duster), so name should be - "Bigster is a fatter Duster". That said for the 4x4 version, where my interest is.
Please renault bring this new 1.2 lpg engine to grand kangoo, I need 7 seats, jogger is too small and there is nothing better than sliding doors in family car. If also as an automatic and with lpg - perfect !!
Thank you for the very informative video ! I think the chinese like MG ZS Hybrid + and new MG HS , has the same price , or even lower maybe , similar space, but MUCH better quality inside. ( soft plastics, fiber cloth at many points , real hybrid , etc. ) So i think Dacia is not so value for money as the chinese. They are good cars , but this hard plastic monotonous interior is not so overlooked any more.
MG have poor reliability, you won't find service points for them, and they are very poor to drive, underneath you will find flimsy bits of metal and a rather antiquated chassis. The Bigster is leaps ahead of MG on terms of platform and chassis. To top it all, the profits from MG go to China. Dacia have factories all over Europe. Dealerships included, and so they pay a lot of people, from the UK, across Europe.
In my country there are only three service points for MG. Also, Dacias are made in a neighboring country. I like the Chinese but I like my Romanian neighbors more. Let’s revisit MG in 10 years.
