looool it's called leisure driving. you shift at 3000rpm on petrol and at 1700 on diesels where the redline is at 5000/6000 then you say look that's slower then the other ...
Dude u change gears like my grandma, for a petrol engine you need more rpm to get the full power. I can't even watch the first part of the video because my eyes are bleeding seeing your changing gear timing.
Doamne iarta-ma. Dai mai turatie la motorul ala ca puterea e sus pe la 5500 de ture nu la 3000. Daca vrei sa faci o acceleratie cum trebuie, tureaza motorul si tine-l in plaja de putere.
I have a Duster 1.0 bi fuel but going to change to a 4x4 but don't know which fuel to choose. Gasoline or petrol. Definitely choose for a manual gearbox because I will use the car for towing a caravan. So dci 115hp of the tce 150hp. What is the best car for towing a caravan? Any suggestions are welcome please. Thx🙏🏻
Have the absolut same problem rn, also wanting to tow a caravan. In Some German Forums I found some arguments for and against the diesel. They say that the Petrol one is way more agile and that's there would be little to no difference of torque at low RPM (which is important when towing Caravans). At the same time Diesel is really problematic when you're travelling short distances often because then diesel gets into the oil and destroys the engine. So all in all there's not a huge difference between them, Diesel useses less fuel than Petrol and diesel can when used on long distances only reach a higher mileage than petrol ones. It's all just opinions from people, in my opinion the diesel could make sense, because all new dusters are locked by the electronics at max. 180km/h. But I can't decide either.
@@snap_zsm meanwhile I ordered the diesel version. We also have a bmw x3 hybrid and the fuel consumption is enormous when pulling a caravan. So 1lit diesel is 30% more efficient dan gasoline. So in that opinion a gasoline would use way more fuel when pulling a caravan. And the arguments that a diesel causes more pollution than a gasoline car.......they say everything to let us all buy an electric car. And because of the fact that everybody has his own opinion and predictions of what is going on in the future..... I suggest that just decide for yourself. Some say that diesels are worthless in reselling within a few years. But I think a diesel 4x4 would always be interesting for someone. The duster 4x4 has a very good reputation and is in it standard configuration an almost perfect off-roader. So I ordered a diesel. Will be delivered end of January 2024😉 Just make the balance for yourself. I do around 12000/15000km's a year which is not much but when I take the care I drive often on the highway. Believe me. I let my sleep to decide but I always loved diesels and they are just stronger build I think. Mercedes and Nissan used this engine for years. The same for the Tce engine. The taxes in Belgium are higher for a diesel and the prices of 1 lit diesel is a bit more expensive than gasoline. But in France diesel is cheaper than gasoline but only based on the price and taxes I. Belgium in comparison to the consumption of both engines. I count 5,5lit/100km diesel mixed use and 7lit/100km gasoline so it is even cheaper for me to buy a diesel if I drive at least 10.000km's a year. And I think the consumption of the gasoline will be 1round 11/12lit towing the caravan of even more and stay under the 10lit when towing a caravan with the diesel. Just follow your heart. Always the right choice.
oh well, the gearbox ratio is the same the power is comparable the only difference is diesel vs petrol so what exactly are you comparing? the fuels? the torque is not compared like this so I guess you want to show that a petrol car burns the fuel faster than a diesel hence the different shifting pattern. I thought this is known since immemorial times ... stop wasting time bud! BTW you completely missed taking advantage of both engines power bands ... if I'd guess you accessed at the most 60-70HP on both engines. IRRELEVANT!
@@nolob I know, I have a Duster. My question is what is the highest revs the 1.3 engine can reach? On the film it looks like he shifts up prematurely hence the acceleration is relatively slow.
@@zyrppa In that case you know that gear "switching" on stickshift is only dependent to your ability to shift not the technology in the gearbox. So if you think shifting is slow you can blame it on the driver not on the car.
@@pauldotdll3276 If you write in your title that you have tested the acceleration with all-wheel drive, then you should also turn on allwheel drive .. ^^
