Exactly. The engine is in mint condition, 8V does help alot with low rpm torque. It's the perfect beater.

​@@drivepovofficial well he tried to sell the car for 400€ . Many annoying people asked him for ''last offer'' ,,Letzer Preis'' . I just was very friendly with him and talked to him like a normal person. His biggest concern was the rusty bonnet for the inspection/TÜV . I said that I'll be happy with 300€ and that's what I paid. It had one month left for TÜV so I could register it. The car was on all season tyres (Goodyear) and there was a complete set of almost new winter tyres (Semperit) in the boot. I choose to stick with the all season and sold the winter tyre set for 120€ so in the end I paid 180€ . Went for an oil change to MacOil and paid 32€ . Rear shock on the right went bad after 6 weeks. New seat was 30€ and I ordered a valve cover for 12€ (Elring) and a cam belt for 35€ (SKF) . Valve adjustment is a piece of cake on these and last week I changed the cam belt in a shop for 125€ labour and they also changed the crankshaft seal for 12.5€ labour and 18€ for the part as it was leaking and that would ruin the new belt. So now the car is fine for a very little price. So in the end 180€ came by the tyres and the bonnet was barely fine for TÜV (2 years) but after winter it was rusted out. Great car for family even my wife likes it :))) only missing A/C and third row would be nice. It's my runabout. Drives rather nice. I now prices for these in eastern europe are rather high. I saw a 2007 model like mine but with less rust and A/C and the same mileage for 5600$. Crazy!!!! In Ukraine Are you happy with yours? Btw 3 weeks ago the left rear spring snapped at the very top but I choose to not bother as it doesn't affect anything.

Very similar cars, yea.

This car does not use the same platform as the 1998 Clio 2. The 2004 Logan is built on a modified version of the 2002 Renault-Nissan B platform that the 2005 Clio 3 is also built on. It does have some things in common with Clio 2, though : the engines, and a few interior elements like the door handles and the steering wheel. However, the Dacia Solenza, which came before the Logan and it's also built on a completely different platform/chassis, has a very similar interior to Clio 2 PH1.

Too bad, engines like the ones on old Logans and Sanderos are now replaced by gasoline direct injection ones. The cost of maintaining GDI engines will be higher than conventional MPI ones because of dirty intake valve issues. :(

@@izzatfauzimustafa6535 that's true but they had to work with emission regulations so the change was needed

@@drivepovofficial So far, only Toyota & Hyundai have engines with dual injection system (port + direct injections), which could reduce the occurrence of dirty intake valve issues. Let's other brands (including Renault) will introduce the system anytime soon.

Hah! Are si GPL! Optiunea de short shifter este dezactivata din fabrica la fiecare masina. Pentru activare se face o adductie puternica a bratului catre luneta. Pentru efect maxim se recomanda nefolosirea pedalei de ambreiaj. 🤌

Nu mai tin minte exact, undeva pe la 150k. Motorul mergea brici, absolut nici o problema in schimb caroseria nu a rezostat la fel de bine. 💩
