Dad breaks down when son returns home early from Afghanistan 

For a split second his dad's eyes look like he was about to lay the smack down on whoever interrupted his meeting

I love that this father didn’t care that he was in the middle of a business meeting, he immediately forgot all about them and focused solely on the fact that his son was home.

That's not a man hug; he's hugging his baby boy. Breaks your heart. God bless them both.

It always gets me when the father cries for his son

Top marks to the two gentlemen in the back who had the meeting with him. Stood up, shook hands, thanked them and left a son to be with his father. Sometimes even corporate America knows the true value of these moments.

This is what happened to me when i came home from my 8 months deployment in Afghanistan. My dad hug me for 10 minutes crying thanking god i came back home alive.

I grew up without a father and it is very hard for me to understand the bond, yet this father must be a great one and the young man a very lucky man.

Dad could have lost out on a 20 million dollar contract by having his meeting interrupted and I doubt he would have even cared at that moment

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched this. It’s such a beautiful video. From the dad’s receptionist keeping it together until the door opens, to his dads reaction, to the two men saying the meeting is over, truly special. I will always come back and watch this video. Sending the family love & i hope the son stays safe in this crazy world

There's nothing like seeing your folks for the first time after a deployment!!!! Personally, the reality that I was truly home didn't hit me til I saw my mom and dad.

I remember my first tour in the royal navy the first day was awful but i pulled threw 6months later on my first leave getting to see my girlfriend my mother and stepfather was the best day of my life!! Will be back on the ship for my 3rd tour next week! Still the hardest thing i have to do but its all worth it

My son hasn't been deployed but it's been 8 months since I've seen him because of Covid (he's in another country). I'm gonna hug him like crazy and probably cry when we finally get to meet.

When I came home from Vietnam March 1969, my Dad cried and I only saw him cry one time before when his Dad, my Grandfather died in 1951. My mom cried and like this Dad in the video would not let go of me. All the years were of happiness.

I was given up for adoption when I was born and was raised in an orphanage. I emancipated myself at 18 and joined the army. It was really the only family I have ever known. I always would give up my passes for brothers and sisters to return home for weddings, birthdays, and holidays. I always thought i had an understanding of what it felt like to embrace a son, daughter, or family member after returning home from a tour of duty, but I can see from this video I clearly didn't grasp the joy it must be to hug your son or daughter and know that they are safe. I only hope that someday if I can ever be lucky enough to have a son or daughter. That I can feel the same amount of pride in my children. I hope your son returns to you safe and thank him for his service for me.
