Dad Catches a Halibut, Newport OR, 6-29-24 

Perfect ocean conditions for some Halibut prospecting. We made drops on the NW, SE, and finally SW corners of the Rock Pile today, looking to get Dad a Halibut. He landed a chicken late in the day 19 miles out of Newport, but it provided a delicious dinner for four of us and two additional smaller meals for Mom and Dad to stash away. Mom, Dad, and father-in-law Mike all on the boat this day--I've been waiting for two years for this and will not forget it!
