Doesn't matter if Exhaust goes under the water. Its the air intake that matters, if it gets just a bit of water inside it could mess up the whole engine. Skit or not , definitely risked messing up the engine even if it still runs after this.
@@Davidb_awesomeas long as it doesn't hydrolock it won't hurt anything. Even if it does hydrolock, it'll probably be fine. My dirt bike went completely under water while running. Still ran perfect when I sold it 3k miles later. I only sold it because I got an offer I couldn't refuse. As long as you get the water out quick, it's really not that bad.
I’ve completely submerged a Honda 400ex down a half mile river and many other utility 4 wheelers none with a snorkle they can handle the exhaust under water especially with the throttle down it’s just pushing it all back and keeping it out. Had several cut off get them out let them sit and dry for like 15 minutes they fire right up.
