AOA! I wanted to get married 3 months of knowing a guy and told my father immediately to settle a Nikkah but problems occurred which were never from my or his behalf but the parents. Since then, it has been 2 years and I am praying and patiently awaiting this year inshAllah I can settle a Nikkah as he is being wonderful and patient about it. His family is full of Deen and his mother is great. My father is not good at communicating and always gets awkward and keeps delaying for reasons such as he must earn more and more. However, he MashAllah got promotion yet it does not satisfy. What hurts me is my both parents are religious and I only want the right thing. No dates or discussions are open. I did istikhara and it was good also. I prayed to Allah to soften Dad's heart and I found this video. JazakAllah I feel very happy because you have made me confident in knowing I am right and doing what is necessary. Pray for both us please! Me and my bf wanted to get married since the day we first expressed ourselves to each other but it got delayed as both of us had family issues. But then we both decided to ignore all the worldly issues and decided to tell our parents guy family happily accepted me and I had to struggle so much as my parents had worldly concerned about him only and my dad has fixed our date after so much arguments at home but my mom she tells me everyday that how much she hates me and I have stabbed her back by deciding to marry someone like him. He isn’t financially stable atm and his family isn’t well off but live decent life. His is also working on his Deen and wants to work even more on his Deen. But my mom always tell me how I will never be allowed to come to her house after I get married to him and she also never contact my future in laws or call them back when they call. My mom I’m not happy with her I try to control my anger but sometimes I do get rude and I was rude to her when she was keep saying no to proposal I regret being rude but that’s where she was just giving me worldly excuses etc and she was being arrogant. I have now decided to never get rude to her but Im very upset how she is threatening me and making me feel guilty all the time I’m working on my emaan and Deen I hope I try to stay quite whenever she treats me with hate. Please tell me what else I can do as my father have agreed and dates have fixed it’s just my mom is reacting in this way.

while i know all the muslim people are having problems getting married i think it hits women and girls the hardest because our parents are even stricter on us. When we say we want to get married and if it is not the right time or the person parents are even harsher on us.

I leaned many things from Mufti menk. I watch his videos since even before knowing him. He knows how to explain things with references in a simple way. For those who will read this message brothers and sisters, I use this opportunity to ask you to make dua for me: I have a stomach pain (left kidney) since a very long time 2 years or more and after going to many hospitals, the doctor couldn't help me the said everything looks normal they give me just painkillers and forget about me (more than 6 hospitals). I can't pray, walk, move well sometimes that's how my life has become but I keep praying Allah the most powerful. I also need prayers from you dear brothers and sisters. It's not easy to my one side it's really painful but when people around me see me, they don't know I am sick.

I told my dad so many times to do my nikkah and i told him i want to stay in halal relation. He tells me OK i agree but in reality after sometime he just acts like he didn't even promised me to do my nikkah. He simply doesn't wants me to do my nikkah but he doesn't tells me. I do alot of bad work i can't control myself that's why i beg my dad to do my nikkah but he doesn't cares even though my dad is huge religious muslim. He forces me to pray to read Quran to do everything but when i tell him about nikkah with a girl he behaves like he don't want it.
