“When will I finally get to rest through this oppression? They punish the people that’s asking questions and those that possess, steal from the ones without possessions.. The message I stress, to make it stop, study ya lessons, don’t settle for less.. Even a genius asks questions, be grateful for blessings, don’t ever change, keep ya essence”… Brodie was cookin’ like he was running outta time and felt death around the corner…
R.I.P. Mutulu Shakur, Tupac's step father, who died last week after being released from prison after almost 40 years. "It ain't easy" and "Old School" were some of favorites from this album too.
@@peetvader478he was set up Programs were ran by fbi and cia those days His linkage to bpanthers and shakur name politics and affiliations was a threath Notice how 2pac mom stepdad aunties God mothers all were chased by fbi and cia and other agencies ??? It's a game and 60s 70s and 80s was a different world
“After every dark night, there’s a bright day after that, So no matter how hard it gets, stick your chest out, keep your head up, and handle it” Man, this song got me through some hard times. Excellent choice - I knew Dad would love it! ❤️
I love how your dad has this look in his eyes like he was emotional for a second. He loves Tupacs mind you can tell, very genuine ❤ please show him “who do you believe in?” ,…. There are so many he needs to hear.
YES! YES!! YES!!! I've been requesting this song since the beginning of this channel. It's such a gem yet unknown song of his😩 1 of the greatest songs w/such a powerful message!
I was in the hospital the year this came out. I had the tape on my table and Ill never forget the nurse came in to take my blood and she told me she was a fan too. I was 15, Im now 47. Thats how long Ive been a true Tupac fan
His catalog is and was so huge, it’s crazy. Not only does he have so many known amazing songs that gets the spotlight, you right he has just as many more that don’t get that more commercial recognition. But I think the truth is he has so many songs, you can sometimes forgot about many of them until you’re reminded, then they flood back.
Me against the world is one of his best album, you can understand his mentally before he got in jail and All Eyez On Me after that. You can see how Tupac has changed.
"Me against the World" is My favorite Pac album 💯 Most people always say "All Eyez on Me" which is 🔥 don't get me wrong but "Me against "... is special 🙏 R.I.P. Tha 🐐
Not sure that he fundamentally changed. I think it had more to do with the audience that Death Row records and Suge Knight wanted to address. All Eyez on me is his least political record but he was working on other projects on the side and the Makavelli album was way more political again.
If there's one track with 2Pac that you should definitely give a listen to, it's Smile with Scarface. Released after his death but recorded while he was still alive (with a lookalike in the video). I'm sure he'd love it.
One of the top 3 Pac songs. Such a beautiful, thought-provoking track, especially the 3rd verse. Wow, so deep, emotional, inspirational and timeless message. And yes, the album is my favourite Pac album overall since he went deeper than deep on his emotions, stories, background, things that were running through his mind, his whole being. So pure, raw, no filters, just a pure human being, spreading his message. Thanks for the great video, guys!
There are so many incredible bars in this song alone, that show just how deep and introspective Tupac was. I was almost 16 years old when he died, and it still saddens me to this day that such a gifted and talented, intelligent young man lost his life, tragically far too young.
I love the musical knowledge of the son especially of older stuff because I always tell people this is 2pacs best work and to hear him think the same at such an young age shows his good taste in music
@@microfarming8583 whilst pregnant 🤰🏽 with 2Pac he was born in prison and had she not won they would’ve taken the baby 🥹🙌🏽❤️ God is great just in time always
Kai, The most important part of the song was when he talked at the end. And your Dad talked through it 😩. Please make sure he listens to what PAC said. For me, that’s the most inspirational part of the song
"Thats right I know it seems hard sometimes, but remember one thing through every dark knight, there's a bright day after that so no matter how hard it get, stick your chest out keep your head up, and handle it - Tupac Amaru Shakur
Yea. I feel like Kai doesn't want to "pause too much" which ends up with them talking over the song. I'd rather them pause a couple times per verse and have a 30 min reaction personally. I went back and watched an old one the other day and his dad wanted to say something part way through, but Kai just kept it playing and they never addressed it. Actually it was Renegade with Eminem and Jay Z. They talked about jay z alot, but the first verse of Eminem's, his dad was wanting to say something but they never paused it. I dont think they even reacted to Eminems first verse at all. I'd be fine with them pausing everytime his dad hears a cool line or has a question. But I also watch Flawdzilla and his 1 hour reactions so maybe I'm not a good barometer of what "the people" want lol
Fun fact. Tupac wrote this album 3 days before he was locked up and became the 1st rapper ever to release an album and go number 1 while being in prison. Truly amazing how talented he was. The reason i make music today. Love your reactions. Seeing the excitement your dad has for 2pac is awesome. A song i recommend of Tupac is "Words 2 my first born" saxophone og version. One of the greatest unreleased songs he has ever done. Your dad would love the saxophone.
I was listening to Mackaveli Killuminati album today and found your "Dear Momma" reaction video and subscribed. Now here we are another Tupac reaction video in the same day.
Tupac's second verse is one of the greatest lyrics ever written. "With all this extra stressin' The question I wonder is after death, after my last breath When will I finally get to rest through this oppression? They punish the people that's askin' questions And those that possess, steal from the ones without possessions The message I stress, to make it stop, study your lessons Don't settle for less, even the genius asks questions Be grateful for blessings Don't ever change, keep your essence The power is in the people and politics, we address Always do your best, don't let this pressure make you panic And when you get stranded And things don't go the way you planned it Dreamin' of riches, in a position of makin' a difference Politicians and hypocrites, they don't wanna listen."
@@ReelMuzikFein Kanye can't touch any of Pac's albums period. Pac recorded over 27 tracks in only 2 weeks and Kanye couldn't drop a better with ghostwriters. Best album of all time 27 tracks, 27 bangers.
You should make your dad watch Tupac's interviews!! It gives an amazing perspective to his life, goals, and views on the world and fame, which is still relevant today!
2 minutes into the song and I'm crying. It's definitely NOT because you're reacting to Tupac, although I kind of like Tupac. It's because I haven't check out your channel in a while and had forgotten how wholesome and satisfying seeing you and your dad together is. And I still have a dad and mom with whom I have a great relationship. My dad is 88 and I love him too much. I guess I'm crying because I know how blessed I am to have 2 parents who raised me and my siblings very well and love us more than they love themselves. It gets me emotional every single time I take a moment to really ponder over it. To everyone who doesn't know this love, I'm sending you prayers and encourage you to look to God. He's even greater than our earthly fathers.
Lost my Dad a couple years ago. He put me on Pac at a young age. Keep going these videos make me happy man. Have him listen to If I Die 2nite/ Lord Knows.
As much i love All eyez on me, Me against the world has to be my favorite album. The message, the nostalgia and the meaning is just perfect. I think you father would appreciate listening the whole album.
Maaaan I’d love to see your dads reaction to Unconditional Love by Pac. Such an amazing song and lyrics. I’m positive that he’ll love the message he might even cry just like the first time many of us heard it, regardless you guys are awesome! Tupac has so many hits I think it’s time for #TupacTuesday lol
Kai your dad is cool as fuck bro, you can see he actually loves Pac. His face lit up soon as he recognised the voice and he talks about Pac with a smile on his face. Love it
The background singer is Puff Johnson who had a small following before her passing in 2013 from Cervical Cancer. She is also on Tupac's song "U Can Call" on the album Better Dayz. I think you two would also like to hear some of her music. One that comes to mind would be "Over and Over". She had a brilliant voice!
I just found you guys tonight. I really enjoyed watching all the 2pac reactions, and I am going back now to watch others. I am betting your dad and I are close to the same age. I however grew up listening to hip hop, and rap. He really seems to love the history of the music. If you want to add to the history lesson, you guys should react to Digital Underground titled Same Song. It was the first time Pacs voice was recorded for a album. It’s eye opening seeing where he came from. ShockG hired him as a background dancer and saw his talent between shows… it was a great story and made HISTORY!
I don't think Pac would've gotten into politics( he's too honest and upfront) but he'd definitely be an activist and powerful leader in the black community.
hey two days ago, I saw your video in one of the news channel that very famous in North Africa and Middle East region, the channel name Al Jazeera in the program they were talking about the gab between generations Y, X, millennials, and Z generation. I am following front room from day one. and when I saw your video in that news channel it just feel amazing ❤🎉. keep doing your good!…
Wow, that is amazing. Thank you for letting us know! I just tried checking for the Al Jazeera clip but couldn’t find it. Are you able to send us a link maybe? - Kai’s dad
@@frontroom actually I saw it in TV I tried to look for it Online but I didn't found it, I will keep searching for it and I promise you once I find it I will share the link with you in here.
man, the dynamic you two have not only as father and son but of student, teacher and just appreciators of good music is something I could watch for hours. Keep doing what you're doing, you obviously enjoy it as much as I do watching along with you both.
I’ve definitely got that impression, from Kai and reinforced over and over by all the Tupac fans out there. Amazing artist. Thanks for watching! - Kai’s dad
Kai thanks for this one. My favorite 2pac song of all time. I love your dad’s reaction and analysis!!! “The power is in the people and politics we address…”
Great reaction!..wow almost a year since u did a Tupac song he has so much music it would be great to give us a Tupac Tuesday or something just one song a week!
It is always interesting to watch and listen to you both dissect and give such honest feedback and the perceptions you both reach. Love listening to you both.
