Also Australia takes on quite a bit of it's slang and youth culture from Britain and the US, and we can understand British accents fine . While Americans would not really understand, cause they rarely consme any media besides their own, and have trouble understanding any English accent that isn't the "normal" classic Harry Potter London accent.
