I took my daughter backpacking for 5 days hiking to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and people were calling it child abuse. We did the same thing for the next 10 years down to the Colorado River via different trails. It became our tradition until she went off to college.
LOL. People always call it child abuse. They are called haters. I love you for it. And so will your daughter for the rest of her life. You did the right thing.
Oh good grief!! I would have LOVED that at 5 years old! I’m an adrenaline junkie and just got married and trying to convince husband to get solo certified so we can do this with our future kids. I’m already gearing up for the abuse accusations 😅😂
My kids went backpacking with us since the age of 5 and 8 but we carried their backpacks plus stop a lot🙏🏽 today they are healthy and fit! Child abuse🤦♂️ people are so ignorant
lol, child abuse.i wish i could live those peoples lives.never had a belt across their butt.those are iPad parents that say those things.they never spend time with their kids,or they would know that taking your kids on trips like that is very hard because u gotta think for yourself and them.its awesome and I love doing things with my son…
@@alexseepersaud6593 About 50 roofers die, mostly from falls, every year, whereas only 11-15 skydivers are killed in the same timeframe. Being on a roof poses a _significantly_ higher risk of death than skydiving. (And that is only roofers, there are probably even more deaths if you take into account everyone).
This made me tear up! What a forever and amazing memory this father just gave to his daughter! She is going to remember this moment for the rest of her life and have so many more adventures! Kudos dad!
Yes, and as @Greenflight says above, just THINK of the very precious lesson that wonderful Dad gave his daughter, that "Fear" need never control you, but SHE can go THROUGH and beyond fear. A wonderful freedom FROM fear. A Beautiful gift that will stay with her forever. I taught my daughter to ride a motorbike when she was 12. She STILL rides motorbikes today, well over 30 years later.
I couldn,t agree more...as a somewhat aging Dad now ...I cried watching this..as memories of my times with my daughter flooded back...especially when she learned to ride a motorcycle and found the total joy of two wheels that I have known all my life. We rode all over England...Scotland and Ireland together. That beautiful little sky diving queens face said it all. Beautiful beyond words. A Father and Daughter bond that will never be broken. Thanks for this beautiful video.
Aww that’s the sweetest thing i’ve ever heard! I know he will always be in your heart! your dad is in a better place now and even if he’s up there doesn’t mean he won’t stop loving you! i can’t imagine my life without my dad and your so lucky that your a really good sport about it! best of luck!
@@BlueBeeXD03 I don't think that's what they meant. They were just referring to that feeling you'd have as a kid where dad protected you from all the bad things in life.
@@Harris_the_Nerd They meant that the girl still trusted her dad completely and felt safe to do this. The OP was just being nostalgic in remembering feeling like this little girl does.
That was awesome. Skydiving is the most incredible experience you can ever have. The courage that little girl had to go and do it is amazing. When they jumped her little arms went out to the side lol. She was ready man. Dad raised himself a brave little girl. Pure awesomeness. 🤘
Those tears are the same fears that every jumper has. With her being 5, it is simply mentally overwhelming her. Most adults can't do it either. You have to block out the fear and go for it. Though parachuting has become pretty safe, your brain still knows its life or death. The minutes before the jump, the mood is very quiet and somber. Many people are praying this isnt their last day. The experience is extremely mental, and it echoes in your head for days.
What an awesome feeling for a little girl to have knowing that she can experience something so great in the trust and safety of her father’s strong and loving arms!💝🥰😎 Have a great day you two..
I think this is the coolest dad ever. I wish I had a dad like that I've always loved to fly and I used to be a pilot for a couple of years, but I lost my business and haven't been able to fly sense. But I have always wanted to skydive what a awesome video and some old memories, and also God bless.
funny....but if dad were sharing a beer with five year old daughter you probably would say thats terrible...but strapping her to dad while forcefully propellingthemselves to the earth...is ok.......
@@richardlawson6787 Yes that is correct. Giving a kid alcohol is probably a really bad idea. Most people would not think that's ok. The father is an experienced parachutist. Perfectly logical for him to share that with his daughter.
@@DMWB57 It was a perfect learning of emotional containment, an essential VERY precious skill which will enhance and enable her soul for the rest of her life. It leaves me sad that you have never learned what she HAS.
@@GilbertdeClare0704 You forget skydiving has inherent risks and disregard them for a "lesson". Definitely a badass kid but very questionable family morals for sure. Good thing that parachute opened.
This brought tears to my eyes.. I know there has to be a lot of haters, but as a kid that grew up at a drop zone every weekend I absolutely love this. Too bath there is the age of consent here in the US that we have
Wow❤ one of the best skydiving videos I have ever seen! This video made me cry. When her dad gives her the kiss on the cheek in the plane ride before jumping, took me back to my children at that age and all the fun adventures, …life is so new and amazing for them. Thank you for sharing this great video! Blessings.
She is too little to understand the finality of death. This is wrong. She was petrified. People commenting must not be a parent and only seem to care about the rush of sky diving. I guarantee this child will be seeking a dopamine rush the rest of her life. Which could entail drugs or dangerous activities.
Mine is very nice and has taken me to Singapore before 😁 he is sooo nice and fun but he does drink beer and gets drunk so that’s the only bad thing but he is getting help with that because he loves me and does not want me to worry about that anymore ❤️💕😁
Brave little girl, such a loving father! Supporting family and friends! Yep she is a blessed little girl, as is her loved ones! Heartwarming actually! Cheers!
Wow this was 10 years ago, I’m sure this little girl has grown to become a young lady with a very strong self esteem, being that she felt always secure with that father by her side ❤!
This was just freaking awesome dude. Your daughter was ready to go man the way her arms went straight out soon as y'all left the plane. You got yourself a Fearless little warrior.
@@viviennenocopy5223 of course. But she did it on her own as soon as they left the plane. In other words, she didn't panic, and had no fear. That is the point.
@@viviennenocopy5223 of course he did. you would know if you went skydiving for your first time your brain tell you to put your aims out. I wish my dad did this to me a 5 years old not do it on my own at 21
I"m so proud of that little girl. I knew she wanted to be there with her dad. This wasn't forced on her.. these are good people. She was so brave. The fear took hold, but her dad was there to anchor it, and do the jump anyway, which will allow her threshold for courage to flourish, throughout her life. That is just so excellent. For her. xo
*her going to school on Monday* Teacher: what did you do on the weekend? Girl: I went skydiving Teacher: you mean you pretended to sky dive Girl: **shows video** Teacher: 👁️👄👁️
@@ikishimq4591 We all jump with a reserve that is perfectly rigged and packed for just these occasions... You always have two chances :) The chance of one failing is small, the chance of both failing is near 0.
@@ikishimq4591 please try it. You have a Reserve AND an automatic opening device (AAD). Like this little girl, when you realise you CAN confront and overcome ANY fear, it is life changing and LIFE ENHANCING. Blue Skies
This is so heartwarming! 💓 I appreciate this dad, and all dads who take the time to spend it with their children, and making memories that their children will always remember 💓
Joseph S Before giving shit to someone you should know to who you are talking. I’m working with this “russian” here in Dubai since 2013. He is one of the best Skydiving Instructor in the world. Btw he was Will Smith’s instructor as well FYI.
Been Free fall parachuting since the 70s but this video man..... fantastic. ..... your little girls face as you were climbing out brought a tear to my eye and all I could think is " daddy will take care of you.... and you did my friend. .... respect !! Blue sky's & happy landings for ever. ( Mike. North East England. )
This shows your child trust and creates an unbreakable bond. It also shows how strong your daddy is and will give your child the drive to ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING in life .
I'm jealous to their bonding as daughter and dad because even the love and care of my dad I never experience until he's gone but I still missed him as my father because too different with dad and no dad 😞...
As long as the parachute opens without a doubt, I have multiple winter coats to keep me warm and to cushion my fall, and there’s soft deep snow below, I’m fine with skydiving.
@@smalls2240Well, if she wasn't aware she'd probably delete this video since she'd be freaked out if her child did a very dangerous activity in the sky which could've possibly killed or hurt her.
Go for it! I did my first jump last September at the age of 45 and now I've booked another one for next month from an even higher altitude! You just need to go through that fear barrier. You will be absolutely terrified but as soon as you are out of that plane it is like you are floating on a bed of air due to the air pressure pushing against your body. It does not feel as though you are falling at all. It's far more fun than scary! Do what I did and get yourself down to an Indoor Skydiving Center first. You walk into the wind chamber and then you 'free-fall' at head/chest height. No scary heights involved! Check out Indoor Skydiving on my channel and check out my 10,000ft skydive if you like too.
wow you should go for it. I haven’t ever done this but it seems really scary at first but just know you’ll be safe and you get to experience this wonderful !
GirlyGamerYT. Absolutely. As I said above get down to an indoor Skydiving Center and feel the 'free-fall'. Look at videos of experienced indoor skydivers just hovering in the wind chamber. They are remaining stable despite the wind pressure from the wind fan pushing against them. That's what real skydiving feels like. Real skydiving feels like you are floating even though you are cutting through the air at 125 mph. When I left the plane it looked as though the plane was going up and then it looked as though the ground was coming towards me rather me going towards the ground. Oh and if you do a real skydive DON'T close your eyes!
my stepdad took me on my first skydive, best experience of my whole life. there’s nothing like being in the hands of someone you fully trust and being able to just enjoy the experience knowing you’re in good hands. gotta say i’m jealous at how young this girl is! very lucky little one to be introduced to such an awesome sport so young. what an awesome video!!
Amazing!!!! I would LOVE to do this with my future kids and hope they’d want to as well. You can tell how much she trusts her daddy even though she’s nervous (I think everyone is nervous for their first jump!!) and that’s just so wholesome and precious.
Hahaha, I was seriously bricking it on my first jump, then about half a second after I went out the door, it was TOTALLY exhilarating and REALLY got under my skin. After that, every jump just enhances trusting LIFE and living it fully
These guys just exude confidence in what they did that day for her and dad. A lot of preparation went into that. They sure know what they are doing and made this little girl's dream come true. Imagine her dreams that night in her little bed.
