Honestly one of the most necessary things you gotta learn in dating is to shoot your shot within 2 weeks of knowing the person. If you miss then fuck it, better for them to say no and you move on than to chase them for months, if you hit then be happy. When my kids left for college the first year our relationship got better. But they both just finished four year universities. Yes they work and support themselves. And last month we got in a fight and I'm written off. I'm not perfect but I didn't expect this. Their new friends are rich and they are there on scholarship. Since we're poor we have no purpose. I think there's more to it than that. No disrespect to you, but what I've seen from my parents is that they think whatever they do is blameless and since we're (there's 5 of us) their kids then we should just be on their program even though we're all adults now.
