I like the premise of this movie, but the title is scaring me away. I can't in good conscience tell anyone I'm seeing a movie called Daddio. And before you say anything, Dakota isn't that bad of an actress. She just has a terrible agent.
Michael Chiklis starred in a failed sitcom more than 20 yrs ago called Daddio, about a crazy father; when that show fizzled, he was cast in The Shield, one of the best crime dramas tv ever had.
LOL, I can't get pass a cab driver bonding and giving life advice to a passenger. 99% of Cab drivers especially in NYC wouldn't care if you got hit by a bus 2 minutes after they gave you a ride.
I thought this was the movie from the commercial where Dakota gets in a cab and asked to be taken home and the cabbie says he doesn't know where the fuck she lives.
If I read the synopsis I would be like oh my god that sounds so boring but with these two powerhouse actors hands and interesting sounding script has made intrigued
Female taxi driver: _'If you can use me again sometime, call this number.'_ Philip Marlowe : _'Day and night?'_ Taxi Driver : _'Uh, night's better. I work during the day.'_
I see no one here has seen the best movie ever shot in a car and car only: Locke (2013) which I highly reccomend not to stupid "fans" but to the cinephiles.
Yeah I really really wanted to like MW. Such a bummer. But the scene when she tries climbing up the wall.... THAT was the brief shining moment 🎉😂 and I'm glad there was at least one..
Sean Penn is at his best when he is subtle. It would be interesting to see Dakota Johnson in a movie that wasn't supremely mediocre, very underrated actress.
This "slice of life" experience portrayed looks very interesting. I will absolutely see this. The one thing I don't like is Dakota's wig. It seems stiff, or just "off" somehow. She is just so stunning, maybe it's because it's just not how I'm used to seeing her.
This was #3 on the Blacklist of best unpublished scripts several years ago. She spends 90 mins working through her delusional poor choices. Maybe the assistants they had voting on it were in the same place in their lives. Not the kind of "problems" I want to see "solved" as entertainment.
