A few years back I asked one of mounted guards if I could take a photo of him and his horse, He gave me a charming smile positioned the horse's head and I got a lovely photo. I said thank you and got another smile I am in my 70's and itg was lovely to get that smile from a young man!
@@seedybee7201 Good point. I thought of it more in tense than anything else….he wrote in the past tense and I thought to bring it into the present. God knows I’ve been wrong before!🤭😉
Normal day at the office, as a former Guard, I can tell you this is the norm. Shame really, some people don’t realize both foot guards and horse guards are operational troops and should be given respect.
@@johnp-h8896 Are the guards aware of these vlogs and do they read comments? They certainly have the support of the public regarding how the tourists behave. Everybody needs to let off some steam😁
I don't live in the U.K., but I do believe the public should not be allowed to get this close to the guards. They are not actors or photo props. They are warriors. They train hard at boot camp and graduate with battle skills. Respect them.
Completely agree!! Don’t know WHY ON EARTH THIS Is allowed!! I think there should be a fence between the public and the guards!! WHY do they put up with this??!!
She was in no danger from the horse as if you look you can see when the horse moved out it turned to the guards left and she was at least a foot away from the horse to the right.
@@davidberry2095 It makes no difference that the horse turns to the left and she wasnt in danger if you listen to the soldier you can hear him say everyone behind the barrier please we are changing the horses and the guard was reinforcing that request its the fact that they clearly thought the rules did not apply to them they wanted their photo op and thats all they cared about
They wouldn't sass the military that way in any other country. "Or what?" says MoleMan, but there are never any consequences for the blatant disrespect shown.
What a nasty piece of work. Didn't stay around when he saw the Police though did he? This level of disrespect makes me despair. Our guards and horses don't deserve any of this rubbish.
That remark was totally out of order in fact down right nasty. From time to time the kings guards have to tolerate rude individuals but always seem to deal with them with both authority and dignity. Great job! 💂
The clown was blissfully unaware that if the gaurd dismounted he would have been flattened, The guards are trained combat fighters not just ornamental eye candy for tourists.
I feel the same way April Taylor, if I ever get the chance to visit, they have my total respect. I know they have served their country, that makes me respect them even more than the regular respect I pay to everyone. It is just common decency and watching these videos just makes me so angry. It is NOT a bloody petting zoo and the guards are not there to entertain the masses like a circus, either!
The officers were afraid of the horse being spooked by the siren, and so did the right thing in being cautious. One dirt bag is so stupid a being that he challenges the guard on horseback, the woman just as bad for not heading the safety warning. Officers should have shamed the man, informing him of the danger that the woman placed herself in.
I think she made a careless mistake and I think he still trying to figure out why he’s not in the right to be mad that he didn’t get to take the picture he wanted to take in the middle of the officer actually trying to do his job and keep her safe. 🙄 ironically, no one would’ve seen that picture, but thousands are seeing this meme of disrespect and foolishness. I think he is shamed and learned his lesson or will.
@@SRose-vp6ew As here move and her fellas showed self-importance, they could not but ignore the order for safety. I have come across this type, stereo types.
I really feel for those guards having to deal with those ignorant tourists each day while trying to do their job. Folks touching their animals without any consent, treating the soldiers like some kind of photo curiosity/ asset. Unbelievable... - and all of those baffoons think of themselves as educated people. 🤦
@@tbrown7662 And how does correcting mistakes and laughing about it on RU-vid contribute anything to the topic or context?! Especially with someone who's native language is NOT English and who has dyslexia and is depending on writing software? That's not just rude but discriminating and due to the different nationalities even worse... - I would be more careful when you don't know a person's background. 🤨
@@syroleelane2794 People generally don't correct mistakes on youtube comments any more due to the person making the mistake getting so butt hurt about it. Even when they try to make light of it and add a smily face there's no getting away from the butt hurt brigade.
But the guards are “a photo curiosity asset” they serve no other practical purpose than that. It’s the police who protect the monarch and the soldiers, both Horse Guards and those on foot.
@@thomascarroll9556 The Guards ARE usually soldiers, they're just dressed up for a traditional duty they perform, which is important to them, the Royal family and the British people! They're nevertheless part of the active forces! What do you think the Switzer Guard of the Vatican is?? A "photo curiosity", too? Oh dear... 🤦
Love that Guard! He doesn’t put up with crap and isn’t afraid to stretch his leg (if you get my drift) The mouthy, rude tourist wasn’t so mouthy when he realised the Guard brought his juvenile behaviour to the attention of others…..walked away with its tail between its legs and not so mouthy was he?! Hahahaha
I’ve never seen such rude people! Leave the guards alone and when they say get back then do it! Show some respect people they are just doing their job! Makes me mad!
It takes many hours to get their uniform, the horse and its tack looking perfect. The last thing a trooper wants is some plonker pawing at his hard work.
The policeman should have had a “friendly” word with the old gentleman. The old gentleman should have been guided by what Muhammad Ali always advised. Never take on an opponent unless you know their strengths and weaknesses. A battle fit horse and a kings guard are not something any age should challenge.
These people listen to the armed police guards but don’t believe they have to listen to these guards who possibility could and would do more harm to them if they what to be aggressive. Once again these guards are well trained military personnel. Get with the program.
@@gyalistyeah for real jeez , why would you want to thank a man or woman for volunteering to possibly put their own life in harms way to defend your freedom and country .
@@gyalist why not? Everything else does! I’m currently grating my teeth with every ‘super this’ and ‘super that’ every sentence at he least must have two ‘supers’ in it!
I wish you were right, however look up "The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier." (the one in the US, I do not know anything about the one in Canada) Tourists do all kinds of stupid things, they don't pay attention to the signs, they are rude and they treat the guards on duty like it's all a big game. It makes my blood boil!
The noise from the sirens can spook the horse and cause the horse to hurt the tourists trying to take pictures, that's probably why she wasn't allowed to take a picture.
Wow, that man is really asking for it and he will probably get his one day ! LOL, he really disappeared fast, so I guess he didn't really want to know "or what"?
It's insane to me how people seem to think that these guys are nothing more than playthings for their cameras. These guys are operational troops. Show a little respect. Love from the US
So rude didn't they know they are about to change I'd like to know what he was going to do to the Guard 😂Thank you for your service Godbless you all ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
The siren caused safety orders to take place. Though the horses are well trained, there might have been a sudden move, by the horse which may have led to some member of the public being hurt. This showed professionalism, which the old git and the woman did not understand, too forward for themselves, barge through life.
@@jancallaway8498 One nasty piece of work that sets a bad example to all, and especially to his children. It is required of us, that are older, to set an example to younger persons
What a duck head the army guy told everyone to go behind the bollards so she then decided to go and have her photo done the guard told her to get back, I think mister tough old fart saying or what! you rude arrogant piece !!!! He was all brave behind the bollards and when police came he shot off down the other end This is my favourite horse and guard xx
I do think he was told to pose that way, having said that. The parents are teaching the child that the king’s guardians and their horses , that salute is a way of thanking them for their service. It infuriates me to see the guards and their horses being, stared at ( like some freak show) the horses man handled, and now verbal abuse. It’s unacceptable and all crowds should be completely banned from the area,
@@lindaSee89 they cant just retire from the army, even so, that should not be part of the job, they are not there to be an attraction for tourists, they are guards.
They guarding nothing as they have armed police on standby . this a pantomime for revenue nothing more as the horses are no longer used in battle so have no function .
Who wants to be ordered about? Well I don't but if you stand in front of a soldier on a horse who happen to be on duty you follow instructions from the soldier. They are on alert and the soldier is well aware of the potential danger in such situations. The old man should have been read the riot act. He's immortalised now though and his behaviour can be commented on. Well done to the soldier and the amazing horse. Somethings we can still be proud of thankfully.
It's because the guard didn't press the button. He was just advising his colleague to let the police know to watch the guy. He knew he wasn't a real threat.
@@hythekent I suppose I expect too much of the police. I thought a quiet word in his ear would show the other tourists standing nearby that disrespecting the guards is not acceptable.
Although l do like all the Kings Guards very much I really enjoy this guy my favourite (we are allowed to have favourites) he takes no nonsense he does his duty showing tourists that he is on duty and doesn't allow them to get to close to him and l am happy to see he is back...well done for you young soldier
How dare this mouthy fit for nothing bit of scoum talk to a guard like that he should be ashamed of himself l hope he see this this guard should have respect at all times these picture s should be stopped these guard do not need to go through this they go through alot ⚘⚘
Listen and obey the King’s Life Guard - it’s their duty and responsibilities to guard. You are a tourist and have no say. So disrespectful. Grow up old man and set the example.
The vlogger bought this to your attention just to score points on his street cred a more human human being would have taken time out to explain, shame on you
So the vlogger scores viewing points. So what. It happened. The guard is standing a military post and people were told to get back. So listen and get back. Having stood hundreds of military posts over 22 years of service - you don’t take time (from one human to another) to explain why she has to move. The old man was out of line and disrespectful. If it was Deadly Force post there is no explanation. There is never an explanation to ignorance in standing a military post. They are not there for the tourists photo op. Kumbaya doesn’t work in this environment. 🤨💪
This type of thing really gives me the shits. WAKE UP PEOPLE You don’t know these horses nor do you know what they are capable of doing not only to someone else but in getting themselves hurt. I NEVER let me horses get pat by anyone because I don’t want to have to have insurance if anything did happen. That poor horse is doing its best in really crappy job so show some RESPECT to the horse it’s the least it deserves.🤯🤯🤯🙀🙀🙀🇦🇺🇦🇺
It baffles that everyone knows don't touch, don't interfere with , don't spook the horses etc, so so many self-intitled arseholes think the rules don't apply to them and have the right to interfere with the horses 🤨
I'm watching at 03:30 so my sound is low - will have to watch again later to hear what he said 🤣 Tourists drive me mad! The horses are beautiful and the guards are doing their job!
Or what?.....and he was English, jerk, too bad he didn’t get bitten or find a hoof on his foot from a spooked horse. Ignorant women shouldn’t have been there after the crowd she was part of had just been warned to stay back for their safety. What an impossible situation some of these entitled tourists put the Guards in.
Apart from the obvious bloody ignorant/ disrespectful etc tourists AND non tourists.. the markings on this horse is beautiful, not seen this magnificent beast yet. Star and snip looked kind of smudged, beautiful xx
A typical rude obnoxious tourist, they feel so entitled even after the rest had been told to get behind the bollards. Totally rude and unacceptable, but now captured for all time and I noticed he went to the other horse and then watched the Police closely to see if they approached him and then left very quickly. Ty Buska always appreciate your videos mate. Keep Safe Keep Strong 🦘🦘🦘🦘💖💖💖💖
Such disrespect & from an elderly couple. Everyone was asked to move back for their own safety for which they did then the stupid women tries to get a photo & when the Guard tells her to move back for her own safety her idiot husband tries to argue with the Guard by saying or what, or what well you fool your wife gonna get run over by a horse. Police should have gone & had a word with them. They need to take a lesson from the young boy who showed such respect & even saluted the Guard.
May I suggest reading up on the Lifeguards and Blues and Royals ( this soldier is Lifeguards ) and their history . They are not actors , clowns or wearing fancy dress performing for the public they are soldiers . I'm sure if they wanted to be actors they would have gone to drama schools or joined the circus as clowns . At the time of the incident the public had been asked to move back as the horses were about to change , it was for their own safety ignore it at your own risk . Have a good day everyone .
Funny the tourists think the guards & horses are for their personal photo sessions. They shouldn't be aloud to get up close and personal anyway. Entitled to nothing, your not at Disney. The guards are not Mickey mouse.
Well I loved the boot/nudge at the start, haven't seen it for some time. And I'm in agreement with the majority commenting here - what a dipstick!!!!! He thinks they are so entitled that they don't have to obey the SAFETY rules! And why did she stand by the other horse? Not for a photo, just wanted the last word, haha! Once again Buska catches the moment - moments!
