The problem is the judicial system and our misogynistic society. The court is not really at fault, they are only following the law. There should be time a limit on divorce of not more than 2 years at most. You rightly stated that as long as the court has not granted you divorce, any proven sexual relationship is termed adultery. This daddy freeze divorce case should make make the national assembly change our divorce laws.

It’s not the divorce case that’s going to Supreme Court. It the ADULTERY CASE AGAINST DF. Two courts have found him QUILTY OF ADULTERY! He’s trying to get the Supreme Court to overturn the guilty verdict. This is why she is saying that it took the courts 12 years to grant her a divorce. She think that justify her being with DF while she was still married. However, the law (courts) says the marriage stands until a judge says it dissolved.

I dont know what is wrong with this country called Nigeria, in Europe and America you will stay in your house and go through a divorce without appearing in the court,if the couples has no child 🧒the marriage last for 6 months,but if they have children the divorce will last for 1 year because they give the chance if the two parties will negotiation,my Ex took custody of my son and ran to UK today my son is destroyed, no matter my ex divorced me and sometimes we meet and have a cofee but if it is Nigeria the divorcees will be fighting one another and even doing juju.

My own ex filed for divorce and I told the parents to please let their daughter marry if she finds love anyday anytime though the parent disagrees even when I I will do same if I find asap. The only issue presentlly is our son’s custody . So if you ask me, if the marriage is not working and someone files for divorce, let both parties go ahead and remarry if they find love elsewhere. All these wahala for 13 years is not worth it.

Not everyone is marriage material, some people should just be dated or be friends with or business partners at best. The law is blind, it is not based on emotions. Judgement is granted based on the law, even if we dont agree. Moving out of a home does not mean you are divorced in the eyes of the law. Divorce is expensive : emotionally, time-wise , financially, and physically. Yes they are grounds for divorce but choose your happiness and choose carefully.

For me if a woman say she's not marrying again and she went to court and said she is not marrying again, una like keep it hundred yrs, once I put am for court and pack my things out of the ex house, I dey kain another man wey I love sharp sharp.
