Daddy Issues 

Women that have dads who are present and attentive having a better chance of being mentally stable and higher self esteem.... for those of you that have had it dont take it for granted trust it's such a blessing!

I prayed in tongues for the first time. I cried and I laughed and I felt God for the first time, telling me it won't be easy but I'll be there with you every step of the way. Thank you🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I burst into tears when he hugged her...I felt that. I wanna know God as a father to me in ways my earthly father never was.

My father was never present in my life, but watching this made me call him and tell him I love him.

"Stop breastfeeding your pain and hurt, such that it continues to grow" That was a WORD!!

I grew up with my father but i never felt that he was really present which wounded me and made me want to look for that affection from other men

The Lord has been my father every step of the way. I remember one day I told the Lord that I needed a hug and I asked him how was he going to do that. I went to church that Sunday and I was sitting beside a young lady up in the choir stand and she turned to me and said the Lord told me to give you a hug. I felt so loved. He is a father indeed.

I just burst in to tears when my daughter asked me what I was watching and I thought about the fact that when they get older they will know how great their dad is. God blessed me and my girls with what I did not have and I thank GOD for that.

Did not know I was carrying hurt inside from my dad. Thought I released it years ago, but this message showed there was residue.

Life was hard for my mom, but even through her illness she fought for me like none other. she fought for me to become what I am today. Rip mom. I hope to see you someday.

It is so befitting that I watched this on this Father’s Day. I woke up feeling like I wish I could tell my father, whom I’ve never known, happy Father’s Day and that I love him. I woke up wanting to tell my baby father, whom I no longer communicate with out of respect for his wife, happy Father’s Day. I woke up this morning trying to figure out how to fully trust God even after all that He has done for me. I woke up this morning wanting to be embraced by a father who loves me. If nothing else, the hug at the end was just for me! God bless you all!

This man of God, father, husband is gifted, I have never meet my father, he died when I was 3 months old. I have no idea how it feels like to have a father figure, I cn only imagine it, and if you have a father like that, embrace it. Its absolutely a blessing.

I appreciate this. My biology father wasn’t there but God blesses me with a uncle who was just what Bishop described as my protection, the one person I never questioned if he loved me. The Lord called him home two months ago and I miss him so much.

It's a wound, I carried many years and really affected my life. But now by the grace of our Mighty Father I'm healed. Wow, I had no idea I would actually shed tears watching this. I saw the comments before hand saying how they cried so I was like awww how sweet. Ready to hear the message but didn't think I was going to let my feelings get into it that deep. My father was never present in my life and I had to reach out to him just to try and build up communication and try to rebuild something that was broken. It's such a blessing she had her father in her life. I realized today that my Heavenly Father has always been present in my life even when I felt like no one was there he was every step of the way. He didn't give up on me and he's save the day and picked me up from falling so many times and I thank Him. Thank you so much Sarah for this video!

I needed to see this, and I receive the prayer and instructions given. I also forgive my father, who is deceased, and myself. I offended my ex-husband by trying to tell him how to parent our son. I left my husband because he was emotionally, psychologically, and physically abusive because he was abused and never healed. I learned a lot about myself during that marriage, what to and not to do. Thank you Sarah and Bishop for this healing message; it was much needed!

I had been seeing this video in my suggestion box for a good little minute now and because of the title, I avoided clicking it because this topic was a trigger for me, but I felt compelled as I dedicated some time to seeking God in various conversations to click and listen to this conversation and I am so happy that I did because I received a part of my healing with this message that I needed. It put some much needed things into perspective for me and I am truly grateful that God used you and your father's beautiful exchange and dialogue as a vessel to many women who struggle with this as well, that I now see this struggle is not unique to just me, but it is mine to forgive, accept and to overcome for my own sake and to reach God's divine purpose for my life. They touched on everything I was confused and crying about. This has brought so much revelation. I refuse to be bitter. I refuse to hold on to the things that are killing me. I now know that when I'm hurting and lost Abba Father will supply, comfort, teach and do all He has to to wipe my tears and to set me up for the better. I'm important to Him. What an incredible segment this was. I am in tears. I am so grateful for my earthly and heavenly Father.

Wow, this was so great that I had to actually take a breath. My father (birth) was an unkind husband to my mother and a horrible,and violent father to me. My parents divorces when I was 10. Us kids 4 of us got stuck with the father. As a child I never understood why my father hated me so much out of all the rest. My mom got remarried after 13 years of marriage and then gave us an amazing step dad. Now that was my dad, because that was the very first parent in my life that actually saw me. He pulled me out of the shadows of not being a loved child. My true dad, my second dad was my dad. I knew the moment I met him when we finally got to go and live with mom, all 4 of us, older sis 15, me 14, bro 11, and baby sis 7. Yep this man took all 4 of us and raised us as his own. That change in my life is what gave me the start of a journey that there is love in the world. My dad taught me how to walk like a woman. He taught me how to drive. He walked me down the aisle, he gave me away. We were in school, he was in college. We were in college, he was getting his masters. My dad got his masters and CPA. I just only got my accounting degree. My dad was my hero. Every time I think of him, I know for sure that God came to me in the body of my dad that raised me to be all the strength of who I became. I decided to sought out my biological father when I became an adult in my mid 20's and my mom kept telling me that I was just so gangster like my father, a man that did not raise me but for a minute and I had turned out so much like him. So you know I had to seek him out. Well he was a big rig trucker with his own trucking business. To make a long story short, my dad is the soft and gentile side of me, and my father is as my mother said is the gangster in me. So I tell people all the time I am so special it took two men to raise me to the woman I have become. I am not easily broken and I am not easily dismissed. I have been married now for a month shy of 26 years. And it is the two sides of me that keeps my husband on his toes, because I am not easily broken and I am not easily dismissed. I am not ashamed of my journey. I respect the woman/man I stand up as. In this life, in this world, you must be of two minds. I am of both.

I don't usually listen to Bishop T.D. Jakes but, I must say that he was spot on in breaking down how a young man in his 20's trying to own up to his responsibilities and being ill- equipped and afraid. I married young, father of four children two boys and two girls. I didn't have a clue as to who I was let alone how to be a good husband and raise children. So eventually, I felt that I was not need nor appreciated and left. The mother did not allow me to develope a relationship with my children and of course not encouraged by their mother. After all, she herself was a single child and did not have a father in the home. This message I will meditate and be digesting for a while. Thank you Bishop!

Watching this just now brought tears to my eyes. My father was killed when I was 9 years old now am in my 30s. I would always felt sad, lonely, unloved, my self esteem was a up and down. I was often bullied by family members and friends name calling I felt like only my mom loved me but I had to overcome that with prayer and knowing I have a Heavenly Father that loves me soooooo much and neveeeeerrrr leaves my side. I forgave everyone that took a role in hurting me and now am doing great. Thank you lord hallelujah 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

My father has recently passed and I wished I had the bond and the up bringing with him. So I struggle with men and love. I am a single mother of daughter and her father is not present in her life. And I know she is going to struggle with what I deal with. Thank God she has uncles that can show her the love that her father can’t give

Bishop TD Jakes words just permeates through my spirit. My father was weak and he left and didn’t look back for decades however my God🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 He put my Grandfather & Uncle in my life!!! The Lord made sure that I was covered 🙌🏾❤️❤️❤️❤️

Why isnt the issue of men and the Mother Wound spoken about? It's the biggest issue we have, as some mean literally hate women and dont even know it. There are thousands of gurus, and authors advising women on what to do, and I find that men need more work than anyone.

This made me cry so much because I can relate to so much here! I'm so grateful for this, I went straight to my dad to thank him for loving me unreservedly. His love is so unmerited and a real example of how much God loves us!
