I would recommend watching one more video of each member and then delving into the history of BTS. Because there's is a running theme through all of their music and they talk about life what they've gone through what Armies are going through. The reason j-hope didn't have a lot of bars in this song is because j Cole is his Idol. He looks up to him so he just let him go on this track. Jhope has bars and lyrics and he is a rhythmic rapper. I'm beginning to like you and your dad watching BTS. I hope you guys can continue on. 💜

With some of their collabs, the featured artist has been lazy in their parts/verses. But J Cole brought his A++ game for this feature and I appreciate him so much for it. He's JHope's hero and J Cole knew the assignment. I love it. BTW, in the 'making of' video, JHope is just so dang happy to be doing a collab with J Cole. It's adorable.
For me personally, I would have been a little disappointed if the beginning had also included J Cole, because this was j-hope's song, not J Cole's. Also, this was a gift to ARMY before j-hope left for the military, so it was appropriate for the song to start with only j-hope for more than one reason. J-hope already gave J Cole more bars than is normal for a feature on a song. That was enough, imo.

I've heard, from J-Hope, that J-Hope chose his own stage name because he wanted to use the letter 'J' from his own name, and further decided to use the name 'Hope' as a reference from Pandora's Box. "The only thing left in Pandora's Box was Hope." The only thing that J-Hope made in reference to J. Cole was the name of J-Hope's first mix tape, named 'Hope World,' that was a reference to Cole World.😊💜💫

Honestly I was not a fan of rap until I started listening to BTS music. I did enjoy early school rap, but not much of what is put out today. Please listen to all three rap line members. They have distinct sounds and styles of rapping, but equally talented. I left a comment in one of your rap video reviews. I hope you listen to BTS cyphers 1-4. I’m a 59 year old Army ! I found them in 2017 and have been hooked since! I had no love for rap mainly because of the content but with BTS I have no problem whatsoever! I can listen to RM, Suga aka August D and J Hope all day! I never heard of JCole at that time but the performance if born singer is a must just be sure you have subtitles! RM and Suga go off on the haters! I saw your comment before I started about accidentally turning off recording early
I am 60 and only became Army in Jan 2022. I wish I had known them in the early years. But, as they say: better late than never. I was blessed to see Suga in Chicago. We flew in Friday morning, saw the concert that evening and came back Saturday morning. I have attended many concerts in my teens through 30's but never travelled to see anyone! You know I love Suga and all of BTS for me to travel on a plane and sit in an arena with 15k people while battling cancer. I wear a mask everywhere and my family and friends could not believe I would be around so many people to see a "rapper" who only raps in Korean. Told them it was worth every risk I was taking along with every dollar I spent (trip and concert cost me $1000). I had the time of my life.

New subscriber here and a 46 year old BTS Army/Fan for 17 months now (OT7, Jimin bias, Jhope is my bias wrecker.) I as well have never been much of a fan of rap music though I love listening to RM, Suga and Jhope’s rap music. You will not find but a handful of BTS songs where they are not telling a story. I was never one to get into an artist the way I have BTS and most of the time I had no clue who I was even listening to. In 2019 I was hearing BTS’S vocal lines song Dream Glow which I really loved on the radio every time I turned around, but I didn’t even know it was their song until last year, I had never heard of BTS. Now I know and love every single one of their songs/solo songs. Just some info, Imo there is a difference between a BTS fan and BTS Army. Army’s don’t just listen to and like their music. Army’s dive in deeper into the group/members where we end up caring about the members very much as people. BTS has a lot of content ( Weverse where they go live with Army, Run BTS where they play games and such, In the soup where they go on vacations together, Bon Voyage ect) All of this allows for us to get to know them as human beings and not just artists. Each member has their own style when it comes to their solo work and they as a group have many different genres. I really hope that you will go down the BTS rabbit hole because you definitely won’t regret it and may even become an Army. Love y’all’s reactions and can’t wait to see more. During the Lolapalooza 2022 when J Hope performed as the main performer he met j Cole for the very 1st time and wish you all have seen his initial reaction. Suga also goes by Agust D when he does his solo music, and it's also kind of his alter ego name as well. J-Hope is not only a rapper but he's also the lead dancer of BTS. Here are some recommendations of some music videos/tracks you should listen to: Suga/Agust D: Daechwita, Haegeum, Amygdala (in that order, it's a trilogy and tells a story), Agust D (self titled track), and Give it to Me. All those have music videos, but also listen to the songs D-Day, Huh?!, and SDL, there's no music video for those ones, but they're really good.
