Taye Diggs' review confirmed my suspicions. There is a HUGE difference in black people's m&c! There is the Caribbeanish style that is a unit...that you can pick up with one hand...that needs to be cut with a knife. Then there's SOUTHERN m&c! It has a sort of solidified crust/top layer/edges also BUT it has a STURDY yet CREAMY structure. You can scoop it out with a large metal spoon instead of having to use a knife sort of vibe. This is the kind I like/make and the kind Taye was expecting. Not the kind that triggers trypophobia from the side view. lol I think we need to come up with two different names for these versions so people don't get their hopes up either way. Respectfully. 😅🧀 💛

The Caribbean (block) version is Macaroni Pie. The southern born is Baked mac and cheese. They got diff names already lol

@20YearSoul Thanks for the insight 😂 Well folks need to spread the word, because clearly. lol I mean, I've been to countless Jamaican restaurants (from chains to mom-and-poppers) and I've never seen it called that. Not saying it's bad or anything but I'd like to know for sure up front if I'm getting a neon yellow block that has more "seasoning" than cheese.
