Daedalus Pro : Framed Staple Coil

may i know how many wraps you use made for your hadaly and also the diameter of the coil itself, btw great tutorial video of the daedalus pro, before knowing your channel, i could only make a regular fused clapton.

This isn't as easy as it looks. My suggestion is be careful with the ribbon wire. Any kink will result in the wire guide getting stuck and your outer wire becoming bunched up. Also be careful when straightening your core wires. The problem with the 24,26,28 wire guides is if you apply too much tension then you are no longer using that particular size wire. This depends on the quality of wire but the wire I use in the UK requires some tension when straightening with the drill. So if im doing a tri core fused clapton using 26GA wire then I will use the 28GA wire guide due to the stretching. Personally the daedalus is excellent for staggered, fused claptons, However for alien, framed claptons I use the old fashioned way.

would be really helpful if you list in the desc the material you use for this, just so one can look quick to see if they have what they need for it instead of skimming through to find that part of the vid lol

hello my brother, would it be possible you could make a video on the tension of the spool to find that sweet spot as i see a lot of people ( including myself ) having difficulty with the wires bunching up

Hiya kzor the border wire you use for the framed staples is it 28 gauge round wire?? I try and use the 28 guider but it won't move freely it's like it's getting stuck. Is there anything I can do please thanks

Okay you've got the 28 gauge frames and the .3 ribbon when you put them together in eight ply like you said with the frames do they fit into that stock 28 gauge fitting, or do you have to customize the fitting that comes with the Daedalus?

Hi Kzor when you say 0.3 or 0.4 ribbons what is the other measurement is it 0.3 x 1 mm etc because I cannot get them through the 28 gauge guide. Thanks Bob

HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU I TRIED DOING THIS WITH MINE BUT IT SEAMS THAT NO MATTER WHAT THE CLAPTON WIRE JUST BUNCHES UP IN FRONT OF THE 28GA WIRE GUIDE DOES NOT MATTER HOW MUCH TENSION I PUT ON THE SPOOL SO ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE HELPFUL?

It might not be as it seems but are the ribbon wires stacked on top of each other or stacked side ways when it's time to wrap them into a coil.Just wondering how do they bend if wrapped side by side.

Hey Kzor 2x26g frames & 8x0.4x0.1 ribbon does not fit in the 26g daeladus spacer. I managed to get it in but it was so tight it just bunched up the 38g. Did you mean use the 24g spacer ? You didn't say.

i just got my kit last week - i have issues with the spool not working its way back as it should - do you have any tips to help me figure out how to fix this?? i know its a good machine - it keeps binding over itself and bunching up almost constantly - i've tried using wider guage wires as my core... i've used up to 24 guage, and it still does it, only way ive found is to manually guide it back from start to finish, but thats a straight up pain in the ass... any info would be appreciated!!!

I’m thinking my Daedalus is a clone or guides not right it’s very frustrating as I want build framed staples and your video are excellent however I’m wanting to smash it to pieces or sell it lol

@KZOR I have followed your video to the bit of it, but i am having a problem that the clapton "outer wire" is over lapping on itself, is it because the cart isnt sliding properly and if so how to make slide easily, and note that i am using it on soft surface nothing jagged or anything

The only downside is you can't fit larger spools from KP or TM which is all I use.

Great video! I tried a triple core fused clapton with 28G and 32G in my new Pro, but the 28G guide kept getting caught, almost as if the cores were catching on the inside of the guide. Any suggestions? Core wires not straight enough?

why do you and other builders waste sooo much wire u still had wire at the end that could have been wrapped and all the wire u snipped getting it all thether you could have got an extra coil
