The Maiden's Day ball had arrived at The Red Keep with lords from across Westeros and The Free Cities sending the young daughters to King's Landing with the hope of becoming the bride of King Aegon iii and his next Queen. Some would make plans long in advance to ensure they would be selected such as the Lord Regent and Hand Of The King, Unwin Peake, while others such as Baela and Rhaena Targaryen plotted behind closed doors on Driftmark. But at the end of the day of the many hundreds of girls seen that day only one would be the wife of Aegon and the new Queen.

The Dance Of The Dragons will be the focus of the plot of the new HBO spin-off House Of The Dragon coming in 2022. So if you want to learn the story before we see HBO's take on it then this will be a very long-running series. Game Of Thrones / House of the dragon are HBO shows based on George R R Martin's A Song Of Ice And Fire series. Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen was trapped on Dragonstone by her brother King Aegon ii with no way to escape her fate. What was to come was the final showdown between the two main players of the dance of the dragons and bring the war into its final phase. The House of the dragon was crumbling and the events that was about to follow would only cause more damage to both sides of the war.

the names that the Aegon's children have something to do with their family. Daeron I - after of Aegon's father-in-law Daeron Velaryon. Baelor - after of Baela. Daena - after of Daenaera Velaryon . Rhaena - after second sister (either from Rhaenyra or Rhaenys, known as the Queen Who Never Was). Elaena - after Helaena Targaryen.

That's why Aegon chose a naive little girl to put Peak in his place. He wanted to prove Council that no one dares to order him. Apparently the boy-king Aegon wanted to put a chess piece on the board and put a crown on Daenaera Velaryon (she is Little Queen, she is Queen of Hearts, I think so). Moreover, no one will put pressure on him about the heir.

The Dance of Dragons and it's aftermath was the beginning of the end for House Peake, a House of traitors who allied with the Hightowers to put Aegon II on the throne and later sides with the Blackfyres, the latter cost them 2 of their 3 castles leaving them only Starpyke.

Daenaera Velaryon my favorite character. Such a small, naive and dreamy girl first made friends with her boy husband, and eventually fell in love with him, despite his melancholy. I hope you read The Tragedy of Othello. "She lov'd me for the dangers I had pass'd; And I lov'd her that she did pity them." Apparently Dragonbane really appreciated his wife not only for her beauty and genuine smile, but also for her understanding of him, for her loyalty and support. Daenaera didn't dare to manipulate him. And gave him peace, comfort and family. Although Daenaera is very little known in Fire and Blood, which saddens me, she was able to become a friend to him in children's games and a guiding star that illuminates in the darkness. Daenaera reminds me of Empress Elizabeth Sissi (a young, carefree queen in a golden cage) - Eleanor of Aquitaine (mother of two kings) - Elizabeth of York (good wife and support of Henry). Aegon III look's like Edward VI - Henry VII - Henry II. Have you ever paid attention? Perhaps my opinion is too stupid. But I only express what I think.

Vermond wasn’t her dad was her grandfather. Daeron Valeryon was her father. Reason why they name their first born Daeron. And she was 15 when they consummated the marriage. Aegon III did not like to be touch. Daenaera became his source of happiness and he regain some vitality when she came into his life. They call her his sun shine. When she was poison he spend the entire of her recovery kneel by her bedside. They had a solid marriage and 5 children together. She sadly outlived him but she remain by her sons life until she passed.

She was once meant to become Aegon II’s bride but Aegon II before his poisoning in 131 AC had his bits too burn to produce an heir which he needed in order to secure his bloodline and the green victory against the black queen. So they bethoted casandra to him however Aegon II died before he could married Cassandra. Who later was made care giver of young princess Jahaera . Some believed she have pushed the young queen out her window other’s believed it was Aegon III’s hand as he wanted his daughter to become queen (kind of like otto did with alicent) However they were both unsuccessful in convincing Aegon III who took young Daenaera instead. So many believed Cassandra who was made once more care giver of young queen Daenaera poison so she could become Aegon’s queen. However, the poison killed Aegon’s friend Gaemon instead and Aegon kneel by his queen Daenaera until she fully recover again

I think either Baela and Rhaena had Jaehara killed, but it's more likely to be unwin, or they were planning to kill Jaehara off and install Daenara since it's a bit too sure of themselves that they come in during the ball, they seem to have rehearsed it.

In fairness I strongly suspect that Baela and Rhaena along with Daenara’s mother/velaryons plotted to have Jaehara killed so they could regain power and ensure the green line ended, as Baela was very much a daddy’s girl and like Daemon would not have been adverse to kinslaying.Then, a velaryon is now able to be queen and the heirs half velaryon.It does benefit them immensely.Plus it’s suspicious that they just so happen to show up there, so smugly, so happily, with a 6 year old girl who is their niece and don’t even bother asking before all but declaring this will be his new queen.Remember Baela was supposed to be Jace’s queen, and Rhaena the lady of driftmark yet thanks to the war and greens neither came to be and their mothers house was already heavily damaged and likely to fade away into obscurity with the loss of Rhaenys, Laenor, Corlys, Lucerys, Jacearys, High tide, Spice town and more.This would be their one chance of saving their house. It’s not a good choice at all politically, since the velaryons are already King Aegon’s allies, they are much weakened, her families line is of a second son who inherited nothing, and she’s far too young, meaning the succession is very fragile currently. But if you want one of your family to become Queen, to have ties to the throne once more and a chance at regaining power, and to have a easily manipulated and trained girl to attract the kings attention and ensure he cannot just set her aside, it makes perfect sense.
