If you watch it again a little slower, you can see his gun came out at Nasty Canasta and took place the split second before his foot moved to re-angle the Canasta’s gun. Daffy may or may not have foot angled as an afterthought once he had himself set up. Interesting.

As Daffy said it, "Probably didnt have his iron today" meaning he had iron beforehand he ate, he just was hungry and needed a Snickers. XD
