Head exploding when I discovered the sampling of Barry Mannilow and Viola Wills in their tracks! Even today people is discovering samples in their music. I see it like a kind of homage to the artists. They sampled Elton John's 'Don't Go Breaking My Heart' on 'Phoenix also.
@@DJFurio I keep thinking about the issues they could have to use some of this samples without credits. I have Discovery and Homework, and just some of this appears in the sample credits. Imagine you having copyright issues 20 years before, LOL
It’s happened so many times with different producers getting hit with claims years later for uncleared samples. That’s the reason De La Soul only appeared on streaming last month.
Daft Punk is the king of sampling Daft Punk is the king of house this is why Pharrell Williams work with them on his album they're one of my favorite DJs two guys who came from Europe and just took the Musical music industry by far they don't get enough respect in the game but their music are so wicked so futuristic right now like the last album was amazing keep up the good work I listened to your Channel all the time you're only DJ right now on RU-vid is doing samples but I wish you would do some movie samples like push it to the Limit Scarface Rick Ross all those movie samples keep up the great work
Sorry i like the idea of sampling but at what stage do we pit daft punks efforts next to say an AI that just selects randoms bits of art to create a masterpiece?
AI has been around for a long time. I worked with a group years ago in Bristol who created The Jungulator software that would make its own music from samples. Was pretty crazy.
@@DJFurio It makes you feel worthless tbh. The art of sampling could just go down the same path as any modern-day digital interpretation of art. Is it the software the artist or the person that had to select the bits who is the artist. I dont know anymore.
