On my channel you will see me breaking down samples used in classic hip hop productions on my Akai MPC, so you can fully understand how the tracks were put together. You will also see some of my own DJ scratching on my turntables. I’ve been a scratch DJ for over 25 years. You will also see me creating my own hip hop productions from scratch on my Akai MPC, as well as MPC tutorial videos explaining some of the useful features.

Man Preemo is the greatest ever but The Wonder Years Beat Hov would’ve been so perfect on that joint, but The Right legend was on that jawn, also that Boom Beat wouldn’t fit Capone N Noreaga at all I’m glad he went with Invincible and gave Boom to Royce
DJ Premier is a pretty big inspiration for me. My favorites are when he would chop jazz piano pieces, like in "Me Or The Papes" and "When I B On Tha Mic". A "chopped piano" (as I like to call it) has a distinct aesthetic that goes really well with hip-hop. I've started trying it out in my own beats. If I can make some recommendations for your videos: I think you should work on making your voice sound more clean and crisp. A compressor will help you accomplish this. Also, some background music would be great (maybe some old J Dilla instrumentals?). But overall, there is value to analyzing these old musical styles- keep it up.
