When we watched Tron in theaters they had cranked the sound system to the point when bass would blast it would distort the image being projected on the screen. I'll never forget, closest to a daft punk concert I'll ever get
Synthwave started to take off in the early 2010's and now you can find retro-synth/new wave touches here and there in newer songs. I would say Daft Punk were 10 years ahead
This wasn’t a movie, it was an experience. I don’t understand why this film style never took off. This movie pioneered almost every single special effect that made the MCU. The vibes of this movie are 100% unique. No other piece of media is even close. As a movie is was kind of average, but as a film study it is a masterpiece that should be studied in every classroom.
Had to come back here when I found out they are splitting up because this is where my love for DaftPunk began it’s been one hell of decade listening to them
theyre retiring not splitting up, producing music for 25 years winning 6 grammy awards and producing one of the most known movie soundtracks to people today would make anyone want to kick back and relax
no they went into the grid after i have this theory because of the derezzed clip where it shows them going into the flynn's arcade so then they play and stuff yes i know they only frequent the arcade to play the game BUT they may have found the entrance to the grid later and decided to go there to get inspired and make a groove and this album is the result lmao
Goodbye my robotic overlords. You're music throughout the years has been some of the most influential to myself and many others. After 28 years of moving and grooving, you both have a well deserved retirement to look forward to.
To this day Tron Legacy is the best 3D movie I've seen. It's the only 3D movie I've seen where the 3D felt justified and was integrated very well into the movie and not just a mere cash grab. I liked how only the parts in the Tron game were 3D and not the real world, it made it feel more special. Haters gonna hate, but this movie rocked.
+Doge “Electric Doge Pizza” Man Yeah, I loved this movie and don't know why everyone hates it. Sure, acting might not be top notch, but I have played the original Tron game and saw the original. Sure, the original classic is better but this was amazing. 3-D in this was mind-blowing, at least in IMAX 3D. It was integrated very well and it was an interesting concept to make the Tron world 3D and not the real world 3D!
+Doge “Electric Doge Pizza” Man yeah, no. Avatar is the only 3d movie where the 3d worked for me. Though that movie is awful from a story and acting perspective.
@@MissMichSan I was born in ‘98 and first got into Daft Punk playing DJ Hero on console back in 2011 as a 13 year old. I was obsessed with Guy-Manuel De Homem-Christo, Thomas Bangalter & Primus for years to come😂
Its so awesome that they put Daft Punk in the movie. And they kept their usual persona of wearing those masks and it perfectly fit the movie. They couldn't have found better DJs for the nightclub scene.
Apparently they're splitting up... hopefully for reasons that aren't bad. They've been at this for nearly 30 years, so it's about time to retire! Hopefully they don't stop composing though... they really should do Tron 3.
theyve been producing music for nearly 25 years iirc, you rarely see people making music for over 5 years, let alone make a soundtrack for a movie and win 6 grammy awards, theyve done it all
Thomas Bangalter (silver helmet with the visor) developed tinnitus around 2002 so he stopped DJing at clubs for a while, over the years I doubt it really went away, so that also probably contributed somewhat.
@@sushiwarrior9444 that's a great way to put it, it's honestly heartbreaking but this way they're not like a lot of other artists who will continue to put out increasingly mediocre work and attempt to cling to relevancy, and are instead going out with a solid body of work (yeah, only four official studio album releases in 34 years, but still)
The only time I would listen to this is if I am in the year _2056_ that's about 40 years from now, but with futuristic cars and hover boards and disc bikes lol I'll be wearing my own futuristic clothes too.
I can’t believe I watched this movie when I was 9, and I’m in college now. How time flies. Also, no wonder I liked it so much. It’s Daft Punk. I explored many music styles over the years to only come back to this one once I rediscovered it as an adult. Wonderful.
To who ever came here and has ever done TRON at disney world, please consider having air buds and start this music as the roller coster starts at 0:20 it'll fit almost perfectly with the launch and you'll have an absolute blast ;) Thank me later
i fucking loved the setting and the world .. i really don't give a fuck what ppl say about most movies :D i also liked divergent ... and insurgent ... and the other one which i haven't seen yet ...
The first time I watched Tron I had no idea who Daft Punk was. Three years afterwards I found "Around the World" by them and for the next two years after THAT I still had no idea they did the Tron soundtrack. For Five Years after Tron came out I had no idea that Daft Punk did the Soundtrack, but when I found out I realized "Holy shit, I loved their music before I even knew who they were."
The reason the daft punk is genious is because of the very way that they make music, it's dance music but not the head banging club music that everyone listens to, it has a certain beauty to it that if you listen closely you will be able to hear it
Yo por la canción de "Get Lucky," me gustó tanto que me la pasé el día cantándole la melodía a la gente para ver si me podían decir el nombre de la canción o el grupo... Descarguen SoundHound, le tarareas una canción y te dice cual el.
I've been saving for an electric motorcycle with a body shell designed like a lightcycle and 15" speakers in the wheel housing. gonna blast this rolling through neighborhoods.
thank you. thank you. thank you. i’m still processing the news and grieving. this song is a fucking masterpiece, much like so many of their other works... hell, all of them, even when they weren’t well received by the public, are masterpieces in my eyes. there will never be a daft punk. never. not even close. my god.
It sucks that Disney has derezzed the chances of there being a TRON 3! Not only are we denied the chance to hear more Daft Punk tunes, but we are denied the continuing adventures of Sam Flynn and Quorra (oh, Quorra...). Plus, Cilian Murphy was supposed be a major villain in the third movie as Ed Dillinger's son (he cameos in the board meeting scene in TRON: Legacy); and an extra on the T: L Blu-ray suggested that the MCP from the original film would also be returning! But Disney claims that development slate is full and they would rather churn out cynical, pointless live-action remakes of their animated classics than continue a cult property with a loyal fanbase. Fuck you, Mouse House.
Garrett Roberts Oh, come on; TRON: Legacy wasn't that bad. It could have used just one more polish of the script and a better actor as Sam, but the action was awesome, the Daft Punk soundtrack was superb, Jeff Bridges was great as both Kevin Flynn and Clu 2.0, and Olivia Wilde was smokin' sexy as Quorra.
DoctorPretorious616 I completely agree with you, but TRON 3 will definitely be out in the future once Disney deals with all their fairy tails and cartoons.
No rythm, music, symphony, or sound in history can replicate this masterpiece. Its the most original and unique thing I've ever listened too. Thank you "Daft Punk:
Had a movie night at a friend's house, and we were trying to decide what to watch. The host suggested TRON Legacy, and someone said "only if your sound system is so loud I can't hear myself think." Host cranked the bass so loud we could feel the couch shaking.
I was a freshman in highschool when I first saw the movie and heard this song. Came out 12 years ago and has millions of of views. Somewhere out of that 12 million, I probably contributed to about 1,000 views. I remember I recorded it on my flip phone and made it my ring tone via recording it of the ol’ windows 7 pc. Sounded horrible but I still listened to it endlessly. Damn I feel old
Its currently 11:54pm and im sitting in my bed, in the dark, listing to this with my eyes closed and imagining racing down the road in a car at night! ...This song begins my 'TRON' binge soundtrack listining
Lol. Reminds me of the days when this track came on my ipod while I was in Ikea and I just danced around the store... >_> Luckily things are weird enough in Ikea, so nobody minded...
***** Sweden is awesome... This coming from a 'Murican, means a lot ;) Love ya' Sweden... Quite coincidentally, I am actually doing a research report on Sweden!
