why is everybody so confused about Thomas and Guy-man's voices?XD Jk anyway Thomas talks all the time except from 8:40 to 9:50. oh! and he does say hello and thanks at the end too! lol
They managed to basically completely change their style and expectations for the new album and yet keep their level, maybe even higher than before. This album is like all time classic :) I like it
#RAM is soo good, if you appreciate different genre's you will appreciate it. Broaden your musical taste. It brings me to another place and it is great. Good job Daft Punk...
I loved it. It brought back the disco feel of techno music, and modernized it, but not in a "pop" way, in a Daft Punk way. They just revolutionized techno music again.
I loved it. I truly does feel like this is the Album they always wanted to make. It feels authentic to what they feel. Definitely deserves a listen to by any Daft Punk fan (real ones), you will know what I'm talking about.
Incredible Album, nice upgrade from Discovery..which was my favorite Album at the time when it came out..I even wrote a song to one of the tracks will not say which one..
When they speak about pharrel who doesn't remember the the session Guy Man talks about Pharrel brings his own liquor and how it was magical the session. You can tell that when Guy Man speaks he has more accent than Thomas and his voice is more grave.
daft punk will never end, they have created an icon. Daft punk will be replaced, Guy and Thomas will die in the future, but the duo will be replaced, maybe they will even keep their deaths a secret, idk but that would be cool, imagine daft punk 300 years from now
999 2019 is going to be there last album, they are probably going to do one before that but then there gonna stop 999 because that's when they transformed. (Robots)
I always just considered it was because: A. They're an Electronic Dance Music band, so RAM from a computer would somewhat fit with that electronic feel. B. It seems to be all about memories about love and other such things from the past Maybe there's something else too, but that's all I see for the reasoning.
Yupp, and Thomas's parents forced him to play piano at an extremely young age, and he appreciated the fact they did that for him, Im sure he would force his son to do something in music
interesting guy, i like hearing their thoughts on what they do. shows they're actually passionate about it rather than throwing out cheap and easy tunes for quick cash
Well i really miss the style that they used to have, and i hope that their next album goes back to that style, but at the same time i adore their new album. It has a great sound and its hard to stop listening to it.
these guys have the best of both worlds. they are famous and (I'm assuming) incredibly wealthy and they can walk around a mall without people crowding them. think about it, passing by guy and Thomas and not even knowing it 0_o
It's a connection between Humans and Computers. They were drawing a parallel between the brain and the hard drive - the random way that memories are stored.
Daft Punk acoustic studio remixed by Daft Punk , I can't wait for Get Lucky to get crushed by Compressor, Phaser, Delay, Beat Repeat, Flanger, LFO, bring it on...and don't forget the 909 dammit!!
I own the album I got it on tuesday, I have probably listened to it over 15 times since then. They gathered a lot of song writing talent on this album and it shows, instant crush is probably as good if not better then anything julian did with the strokes (who I saw live in 2006 and are great). If you want more rihanna or drake that's cool too, but daft punk is special to me, like a familiar coat. We should be more thankful to have real artist still making real music (even if they are robots).
RAM is great, I absolutely love it. However, they will never be able to top Discovery. That album is hard for anyone to live up to, my all time favorite.
Rolling Stones stated they both have two kids. And one interview in 2007 says Guy-Man has a son (popjustice. com /interviewsandfeatures /daft-punk-interview /49856/)
Actually...no. Guy Manuel De Homem Christo is not married and does not have a son. The only person in Daft Punk that's married is Thomas Bangalter. He is married to Élodie Bouchez, a french actress. And Thomas has two sons. Oldest: Tara-Jay and Youngest: Roxan
They tried getting in at coachella fest last second this year but golden said no :( went this year and saw the yurt lucky ad in the main stage while I was waiting for yeah yeah yeahs to go onstage and all I thought about was ... DAFT PUNK2014 coachella fest
I like the new album and I'm glad they're getting very popular, but I don't really like the publicity on a media level. Before RAM, Daft Punk was kind of a secret duo that created awesome music by themselves, but now they collaborate with other (terrific) artists and it doesnt really feel the same. With Discovery, your heart raises in excitement, but with RAM your heart drops because its not Daft Punk. it's Daft Punk and friends. Id sacrifice their success to have the old Daft Punk back any day.
Well, both Bangalter and Guy-Man have a son, they are too young now but in about 13 years they will be in their 20s, and the original Daft Punk will be in their 50s almost, so they can just swap each other out and no one would ever know!!! : D
