Have you paddled the Nova? I’m 5’11 165. Leaning towards the Nova. Guy at the store said I’d fit in the SuperNova as well but I’m really thinking I’d prefer the Nova. Mostly plan to learn and build skills on flat water with it. Can’t imagine I’d ever paddle it above class III so the smaller nova seems more appropriate. Looking for input from people with experience. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I’m so torn on a new full slice vs half! I’ve been going between the nova and Antix 2. I want to be able to run stout 3 easy 4 and play while doing it. How do you think the Nova would run bigger things? Thanks

God you made me feel old. "Modern chimes". In my youth we didn't even have back bands, and pillars? Those were things which held buildings and highways up. Seats adding to structure? Being able to switch out seats? How do you do that when it's moulded into your fibreglass boat? Looking at these modern boats, I don't know how we managed. If you were good at working with plastics it could be done with a T-slalom or a Topolino, but in those boats, a single piece of foam was an excuse for a foot rest, while in a fibreglass Phoenix boat a right angle chunk of aluminium sufficed. Caved in decks were something you just expected from time to time, and bad plastic? I knew creekers who had the entire spray skirt rim rip out on them in the very most unhappy ways. I can only look with envy at modern boats. How the world has changed, and so much for the better!

How would you compare it to the Ozone ??

The white is so sick! Would be hard to see upside down in whitewater, but it looks sick. They should just put a big red stripe down the middle on the bottom, then it become the sickest color ever

Hey Alex. I’m in the Syracuse area and I’m having a difficult time finding my way into WW kayaking… I wanted to take a class I found at northeast PA school but they don’t currently have instructors. Can you point me in the right direction? Any help is appreciated!

Nice one. I feel like the best part about this boat is how stoked everyone is to have a super high quality modern production old school slice yak out. Hopefully it makes a ripple in the Pelican board rooms. I def feel like I need both sizes, Nova so fun in Class III. Super Nova hard to throw down but a better river runner in the juice. I'm 170, prolly just need to get the big one and work on my technique. I did help a swimmer on Class III with the Nova. I grabbed her hand and tried to put it on the grab handle. It wasn't there. She got it but it took extra effort and reaching, even for the smaller stern, and she was probably 5'7", so should have been able to reach right away. Sold out everywhere, better stash away that 16 hundo
