It's more than a little unsettling that I have gotten used to thinking of Dagoth as a novelty RU-vidr within only a week of hearing his voice used in AI.
This reminds me of another Dagoth Ur Tier list that was so strangely consistent with his character, the man was rating waifus in skyrim and voted everyone as sub par for being outlanders.
Lol it's because you get to go to Dagoth Ur, the building, and collect the final piece of the staff needed to kill Jagar Tharn Funny enough is that the Dagoth Ur, the character, is named after the Building we never know his real name, just as we never see his real face
I even know exactly why everything is where they are. Dagoth Ur=Yes?: S Dagoth Ur=No?: D you can get within a couple miles of Dagoth Ur (the building)?: C
the part i found funny was when he complimented the voice acting when everyone has the same few voices and the voice acting has actually become a meme because of how dumb it is
Morrowind's and Oblivion's levelling systems are basically identical. Level scaling is not the levelling system. Even Morrowind need some level scaling tbh. Being level 20 is to be a God.
It's very funny that you slowly start to realize that despite his analysis, the only meaningful criteria is whether or not the game has Dagoth-Ur in it.
Skyrim should have gotten an A. The Dragonborn expansion has Red Mountain in the distance, and the anniversary edition includes Dagoth Ur's mask. It's the closest you can get to having Dagoth Ur without actually having him.
I'm shocked Dagoth Ur didn't comment on the presence of reference to ash mountain in skyrims dragon borne DLC, and the clear reference to the sixth house un-mourned or the vast population of Dunmer with the large collection of ash minions on Solstheim. I was expecting at least C tier.
@@sirbox7850 idk the fact that they abandoned radiant AI in favour of radiant quests is a real shame. With today's processing power, AI and a lot of voice lines it'd work so much better..
To be fair, the Skyrim has the Mask of Dagoth Ur so, while it doesn't contain the great divine Dagoth Ur himself, it pays homage to him and I feel earns at least a C for that.
I don't get why skyrim doesn't rank higher than Arena, since it has a lot more Morrowind in it through the Dragonborn DLC. Anyway great list, very cohesive!
You literally go to Red Mountain in Arena. The entire province of Morrowind is the game, so in terms of pure land area, Arena has more Morrowind than Skyrim does. Also, I'm pretty sure if you go to Red Mountain in Arena, it calls it Dagoth-Ur. Looking it up, it's the last dungeon before the final part of the game in the Imperial City (and thus one of the hardest parts of the game). Of course Dagoth Ur is going to rate the game that mentions him and shows his power so directly higher than Skyrim.
@@Hraktuus agreed but the Nerevarine and the events of Morrowind is directly mentioned in Skyrim, and the dunmer culture is treated with the utmost respect outside of windhelm. I'd rate it a B or a high C were I Dagoth Ur. Naturally, as it doesn't directly feature Dagoth Ur I cannot rate it higher than that, as clearly there is lots of care put into the consistency with Morrowind, particularly the Bloodmoon DLC
@@mrsnufflegums evidently the Dunmer culture isn’t treated with the utmost respect outside of windhelm since none of the other holds decided to take in a significant number of refugees after the red year.
I don't think skyrims ranking is fair since it does feature red mountain in the background of the dragonborn dlc, as well as featuring the mask of Dagoth Ur in the creation club content included in the ultimate edition and therefore his visage. it is for these reasons that I believe skyrim deserves a B tier for barely adequate
I think Skyrim should have been higher on the tier list. Not base game Skyrim, but with the Dragonborn DLC, yes. After all you can gaze upon the majesty that is Red Mountain. However, you can't visit it, maybe that's why it stayed in D tier.
And here I thought he'd praise Oblivion for its main story involving the destruction of those pesky Imperials and their cities, and rate it higher due to that
"As for Online, Legends and Blades... I let my argonian sla... i mean servants to play them so they knew that I'm their good maste... I mean employer who treat them well and who definitely don't want smudging your hands by touching these... games"
I remember Daggerfall being referred to as "Buggerfall" at its time, for obvious reasons. Now though thanks to community's efforts the game is actually playable and enjoyable (as much as one can enjoy such a huge, repetitive and monotonous game).
I disagree I say Red guard was probably one of the better ones where had a nice balance with both graphical and game play as well as storyline But I get why not many people would agree because it's not a main entry into the es games but its own spin-off Which really stinks because it's the very first game where you get to meet and actual sload and explore their lore for a bit
Arena is actually remarkably low on bugs and glitches. Lots of mechanics are poorly thought out and are *effectively* useless but not strictly bugged. The actual number of glitches is fairly low, and the number you can encounter without doing something on purpose (like canceling if you're asked if your character will be male or female, stacking spell effects to cause an overflow of spellpoint cost, or getting enough XP to realize the scaling for next level XP for some classes makes it impossible to progress into the high twenties when you need to seriously grind to get to the mid twenties anyways) is even lower. Get the mod that remaps DOSbox's button inputs when Alt isn't held and it's worth a try. Tip for maximum enjoyment of Arena: Magic is OP in this game since MP cost scales down with level (meaning Mage, the fastest leveling magic user, is actually great despite its lack of special abilities and armor). You can actually make zero cost spells once you hit double digit levels, allowing them to be cast even if your class doesn't have MP. MP potions are cheap, weightless and infinite from Mage Guilds. Also shouldn't Skyrim and Oblivion be rated above Daggerfall? You can see Dagoth Ur in the distant land geometry in them.
But Daddy Dagoth... Oblivion and Skyrim can be modded to include Dagoth Ur's divine presence! They should at least get a B tier just for that! I'm also kinda disappointed he didn't rate Oblivion low just for the fact that the characters are ever fugly. And what about the psx game and mobile game and ESO? Idk about the psx one, but I'd personally rate the mobile one and ESO as F tier cuz they need internet to play and have micro transactions.
The best part of these videos is that this could 100% be canon to the Elder Scrolls since Dagoth-Ur exists coterminously through all possible timeliness.
Actually Dagoth, as of Skyrim’s Advanced Edition we can obtain your mask in the “Ghosts of the Tribunal” creation club content. This allows lesser beings to enjoy playing pretend as the divine power known as Dagoth Ur.
It's still up in the air whether the fandom considered creation club content to be canonical or not Personally in my opinion no I do not consider paid mods to be canonical
@@rejvaik00 Wether it’s canonical or not isn’t important in my opinion though. There is an official means of including Dagoth Ur into Skyrim where any individual can pretend to be Dagoth Ur, and I feel that this should be accounted for at least partially when ranking Skyrim given the importance of this factor.
The actual ranking aside, I'll have to disagree with the idea that Morrowind has better combat than Daggerfall since Daggerfall's chance to hit enemies is not just weapon skill and agility but also the agility and armor stats of the enemy. A rat is much easier to hit than a daedric lord for example. Daggerfall's graphics were also not bad for the time. It was released in 1996 and has graphics comparable if not better than Duke Nukem 3D.
There are about 6 games missing here: Skyrim Special Edition, Skyrim Anniversary Edition, Skyrim VR, Skyrim for Nintendo Switch... Also, surely someone's modded Dagoth Ur into Oblivion or Skyrim by now?
Immediately factually incorrect. Dagoth Ur features quite heavily in Arena. When dunmer were still just "dark elves", when all lore was just a D&D homebrew, the name of Dagoth Ur was already there.
