I'd angle camera down a little bit more. No need to see the neighbors roof across the street, that would also help capture anyone's face closer to door or wherever you have this camera mounted. just my opinion. Thanks for sharing though.
Video is very good. Not long ago, I bought a renhotecic brand mini-lens camera. After using it for a while, I feel that the shooting effect is ok. It is recommended that friends in need can try it.
Thanks for making this vid. I just bought a Dahua 8mp, and plan on setting it up at 6mm for the front of my house as well. How many frames per second were you recording in? Does your camera do color, or only B&W at night?
like most cameras with decent ir. still or slow moving objects look clear. pause this video on motion and the motion blur is still there. after he moves close to the camera. looks like he jumps over something. pause it here and u will see the motion blur on his arms. if u turn off the ir and go for colour at night. this blur will be much worse.
probably, plug-n-play typically is only afforded to products that are the same brand.. ONVIF just means they will interoperate.. but you'll have to set the camera up and add it to the NVR manually more often than not.
I have the QC8116 NVR and use all Dahua cams - all have been plug and play. Plug in, wait about 2 mins and the image will appear. Remember that the cameras are assigned channels based upon the order in which they're plugged in. Hope this helps.
I tried the Dahua SD29204T-GN IP POE PTZ Network Cameras but they auto-focus/zoom every 3-4 mins, triggering a motion event. I tried hooking up a POE injector to correct the issue - didnt work. The camera worked well with regards to PTZ, the image was very clear and It was plug and play, but the auto-focus/zoom issue was a deal breaker.
You compared the two cameras at the same time, which means both cameras had their IR on. This can cause 'overlighting' one or the other image. I would like to see the comparison of those two cameras, but then 1 on, the other off, so no interference.
yeah and there was also an IR Illuminator on em too.. every locations lighting conditions are going to be different, this is comparing the two cameras with identical lighting conditions.. this is more of a test of the cameras sensors which using different IR sources for each test would entirely negate.
@@halden11 nope. The 4mp doesn't have starlight and the 2mp does, makes all the difference at night. The 4mp does look better in good lighting though. Both are Dahua brand.

This is certainly NOT starlight ! Dont make scam videos. Go and search starlight tecnology. Starlight provides colorful images even at 0.005-0.0001 lux (close to zero light complete darkness)
it certainly is, this was a first-gen Starlight from 2016, things have improved quite a bit since then.. just because you are an idiot dont make me a scammer.. i never sold or made a dime off these things, so whats the scam here? fuck off somewhere else
