If you'd been following more closely, you would have known he was developing very well, and was going to become a huge danger to the tops guys very quickly. I spotted him a year ago. He will win many titles.

How did Chou stop attacking when leading 17-10 in the fist game expecting Lanier to make mistakes? But Lanier didn't make many unforced errors so far. Even he could win the second game, I doubt he had anything left in the third game

CTC should look at what happened when he lost the lead in both sets. He slowed down, playing more passively. Might work with other players but cost him dear against Lanier, who was very agressive and made few mistakes.

Wouah, très beau match ! Je commençais à m'ennuyer en regardant les matchs ces derniers mois car les joueurs smashaient de moins en moins ! Là, au moins il y avait du spectacle avec les nombreux smashs très puissants, notamment de Lanier qui a un mental, un physique et un niveau de jeu incroyable pour son âge !

Alex Lanier is no doubt a great player! However, he’s not a good sportsman.. I felt he was a bit rude throughout the game and not returning the shuttle often, against other players this tournament too. I hope he’s a little bit more respectful to players in the future :)

To understand 17-10, 19-17 and still losing the match u hv to watch ctc in the finals against ginting when he was called foul by the umpire and he lost a won match. it affects you psychologically and def affect your game in the future. Kudos to French men but I still think CTC is the winner regardless of the outcome
