Definitely. In Japan they do know how to make good use of space.

Clever car & ideal for the environment, beating a huge EV on so many levels. Mrs B is on her 2nd Honda jazz & loves the Magic seats

Yes, the magic seats. Wasn’t that so that you can lift the rear bases up vertically and place tall plants there when you have been shopping at the garden centre? Majority of people don’t need anything more.

Great video, love these kei cars/vans. I used to have a daihatsu hijet van, very basic and old but fun . Sadly had to let it go, too costly to repair and I found it nearly impossible to source parts or find a garage that would touch it 🙄 quite fancy a Honda n van, would be a great mini camper lol

Yes. The Honda N van is nice. I agree that one issue is the sourcing of parts. We kind of take a bit of chance that harder to obtain items like bodywork, glass etc, will never be needed.

New subscriber from Australia here, I'm just beginning the research process to look at bringing a kei car over and do a DIY camper set up in the back.

Welcome and thanks for subscribing. Yes there are many Kei cars in Japan that are used as campers. All the best with your journey.

Very close to 2K subs. Hope you get there, and much further, soon - it's well-deserved.

Hi Paul a great car and so clever as well reminds me of things here like the Honda jazz multipla and Picasso being so versatile I can’t understand why they weren’t sold in Europe where cities have similar pressures to the UK all the best Daniel

Daniel, it doesn’t make any sense although the UK is a badge conscious place and people don’t seem to like ‘different’ so instead drive boring stuff that is way bigger than many actually need.

Thanks for that Paul, I do love your Tanto its a brilliant piece of design, so practical and that's what most of us need, I'm sure its reliable too. Thumbs up and subscribed for sure, I wouldn't want to miss Fran lol.

Thanks. The whole thing about Kei cars makes sense to me. Extremely practical, quicker than many would think, super smooth on the motorway at 70 and cheap on petrol. Fran loves it too so will hopefully be on a future Keiko video 😁
