Check out my Pedal Demo of the Schnobel Tone Daily Driver. This has become a modern favorite for me and a handful of buddies with a diverse set of EQ options and a ton of tasteful drive on tap. I showcase what the sweep is like on the EQ controls, Volume and Drive, and show a couple of cool uses I've found for it.
I'm using my Veritas Portlander with Lindy Fralin Modern PAFs. And the signal chain is:
- Pinstripe Multi Buffer Output 2
- Tone Press Compressor
- JMI (Left Amp)
- Fender Prosonic (Right Amp)

Another great demo! My second of yours to watch, and you’re 2 for 2! I’ve had the Daily Driver since the first few days after Roman released it. You hit the nail on the head abt the DD’s drive character. It really is appealing and versatile without being boring. Thx for another great demo!

Kenyon, I really enjoy these demos. Something I could just listen to while I do things. I have a question… would you think this thing can make do as a solo drive along a boost?

Thanks!! Yeah this drive is well rounded enough to be a stand alone drive alongside a boost. You’d cover a lot with that

When you say jmi and prosonic, are those real amps that are mic’d up that we’re hearing? Or are those amp sim pedals?

In this application, it’s the real amps. But I bet I could surprise you with a couple iridiums and the XR IRs to feel about the same 😏

Suggestion on getting this type drive on kemper? Would like to use it as a 1 stage drive

I imagine it’ll be a great sounding drive no matter what you play it on. And it would could work great as a first or second gain stage depending on how you dial it

@@KenyonReed2 Thank you, but as only using kemper I meant, would this resemble a certain type of drive? tube screamer king of tone etc. Id like to get a nice 1st stage drive like the Daily on my kemper dialed in. Once again thank you!! You are one of the few youtube people that actually responds so I am grateful for anything.

Ahh I see ok, yeah thats hard to say without getting my hands on it and seeing what sounds like it. Or if we were to make a capture that included a Daily Driver in the chain.

I would say realistically closer to 50-50. But to me that’s the whole idea in my approach. There’s a lot of folks that can dial things to all pedal drive, but I don’t personally find the greatest tone that way. But that's also the point for the brief showcase of pulling down the volume and cranking the drive on the pedal to show what the actual pedal does without so much amp influence. So there is a moment to hear that, but I don't personally keep it that way. I’d also dial it the same for amp pedals.
