"What's that? A modulated filter pedal with a bit crusher particle effect in reverse? Wait why does Mustang Sally sound so weird on this thing? THIS PEDAL IS USELESS!"
@@moonsugar1 seriously, when I was learning bass, all my buddies were into Zeppelin etc, I was into Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, Flaming Lips, butthole surfers and tons of mid 80s punk and post punk. They always got pissed at me for collecting pedals and not really learning notation and standard riffs, but I enjoyed the sounds......
Love your reviews. The one thing that I think would make them better is a split screen showing what you're playing on guitar...it would help to distinguish what is being played and what is simply effects. Thanks.
And that final piece that begins at about 12:30 was haunting and lovely. As I've said before, the music you make when you're just demonstrating pedals is better than most of the music that's sold commercially.
You ever try syncing that up with Jesus built my hotrod... I mean similar era production teams ect Maybe it was the Purple Crystal L... No they do mash... Perhaps less than when in purp
You just gotta love these pedals loving all the knobs and switches on them real big kids toys...l could lose myself for days on end with these in my Mancave
What amazes me is that Tom Morello uses only 5 pedals. Wah, Whammy, Delay, Tremolo and Phaser, that's it. That's really crazy considering the variety of sounds he can get. I'm really curious what would happen if he obtain one of these...
Artemij You realize a couple of these are just modulated delay or an octaver(whammy does this) with Fuzz. He plugs them into another effect and or a looper to get the crazier sounds. Morello does a pretty crazy effect for his leads nowadays. He's got delay going near self oscillation. I'm Rage he doesn't have that many different tones. He is very inventive with the whammy, tone control and delay though.
I would love this so much. I have a gig where half my job is to make weird sounds between the tunes whilst all the analogue gear has its patches changed manually.
there is some awesome guitar playing going in here!! anyone who thinks that it doesn't take some imagination and skill and even practice to operate these things has no idea.
+Jim Ferguson damn this is crazy i was about to comment on this and say same but i realized i just commented on ur comment on the last vid CRAZY WORLDDD
Although I like a lot of the sounds I just can’t see the point of getting those sounds from a guitar. A lot of the pedals give me the impression that it doesn’t matter what you play, it’ll make the same sound.
Hey, Dennis. I totally agree with your number one. I won't mention it so I don't make a spoiler, but I love that pedal and it's so much more than a noise-maker. Love your demos.
Thank you SO MUCH for posting this video...these pedals are AMAZING...I had no idea that pedals like were made for guitar...I've heard synthesizers that create unusual sounds but never... You really have me re-thinking music and the possibilities...
I want the Gnomerateon and the Fuzz Factory. I like making my bass have the weirdest noise possible that still sounds like a bass. [Edit] I also kinda like the Eventide Space. That's a pretty weird pedal.
I appreciate the time and effort put into this video. I would have liked it more if I could see the guitar being played in the same frame as the pedal. I want to see what is being input to the box. I would want to see all the knobs and switches of the particular pedal box put through wide change to let us hear what they each do. Good journey.
