Mike, you rescued a wounded truck that would likely have been scrapped and made it whole again…and had fun in the process. I’d rate that a success….. like anything else, it’s time to pass it on to the next owner so you can do other things. Looking forward to seeing what you have in store…

Since I've been watching your channel over the past couple of years or so, my favourite series was your rebuilding Duke's engine, aside from the goat rope of removing the old engine -- at least no one was hurt. Good to hear he's going to a good home -- definitely a great truck.

Mike you did a great job bringing Duke from a soon to be junker to a real road truck! You should be proud of what you did for Duke! Now you give him the freedom to continue his destined heritage! I remember when all you could buy was the pine tree air fresheners. It was definitely a toss up on what smelled worse. The smell you were covering up or the pine tree air freshener . Have a great day all .

You have done a great job with Duke. I do like it very much. At the end of the day it's a piece of machinery. I had to part with trucks over the years myself, that I wanted to keep. Mike you rescued and transformed Duke from an ugly truck to a good looking functioning one. I recall you saying before you bought Duke because you couldn't afford a 359 or 379 and now you have a 359. Fly the flag for JB weld and cash out on Duke to help out the family and fund the other projects.

With the love and care you put into Duke it is sad to see him go its like seeing one of your kids go off into the world but like you said you know he needs to work and he is going to a good home

Who ever buys that truck will be getting a great used tractor, thanks to you, it's got a lot of life in it providing the new owner takes pride and keeps up with the maintenance.

You know Mike it's really sad that you have to get rid of ol' Duke after all the work you've done to it. There are very few people like you that work on these old trucks on RU-vid that just do it for the love of them... You don't do it to work them you don't own a trucking company to help finance the work you're doing, it all comes out of your own pocket... You do it just for the love of the trucks and their history and you don't see that much anymore usually people have a agenda for doing what you are trying to do... Well hopefully this will be the only time you have to get rid of one of your trucks to keep doing what you love to do...I for one love and appreciate what you're doing....❤❤

Totally understand, you have done a fantastic job on Duke. You know we buy classic vehicles to fix and usually pass along to others. I'm sure the new owners will treasure it and probably put their own touches on it and keep on the process of making it a Diamond in the rough. You saved what probably would have been a scrapper and should be proud of what it became. You're cheer when you first started it is the most classic cheer of all time!

Smart move. More funds for the other trucks and they need it. Nothing wrong with fixing up and selling.

Some times you have to get rid of one to take care of the others keep your head up hi and keep up the good work we will miss duke but sometimes you just have to do it

You’ve come far, Mike. I remember the “Kaboom” on the way home with your “fleet maintained” purchase. Your Dad helped some, but you worked your way through the engine repair, and it seems to have come out pretty fair. Speaking of your Dad, ask him about the interest rates back in the old days. I understand with recent changes, they are up near the highs of old. I distinctly remember 23.5 per cent, but I don’t remember if that was the peak. Would you have any use for another Cummins 444 engine? Condition unknown, right now. Be at least a couple months before I can check it out. I want the truck, but not the engine. Also, is it possible to order major parts through you, have them invoiced, and pick them up in the US? I guess that is not as interesting for you folks, now that your sales limitations have been lifted. Don’t go crazy with your pricing on Duke. Get yourself a repeat customer. Good luck and take care.

Greetings from NYC. It's very, very hard to part with something you've spent a lot of time, energy and money into. You bought a truck that needs a total makeover, and now, it's time to get rid of it. I feel the same way here. I found an ebike out in the street a few months ago, I was in process of getting it up and running. But other matters came up. So now, I must get rid it.

Id love to have a Peterbilt here in New Zealand, They are rare breed here, Kenworth is the next best truck but nothing beats Peterbilt.

I know how much it means to you and you know why its going. Thinking to yourself, will the driver care for it like you do and how much will they do to change its looks. I don't know who coined the phrase of a seat for every driver and a driver for every seat. Not even sure if it applies here. My point is, its a good point of selling this rig, as like a boat, just a spot for money to pour into. What I am getting at is letting go before the investment is so deep you can't recover money put into it. Your going to have a bit of remorse but its natural. Kiss the bride and remember other trucks in the fleat help heal this wound
