I got a 05 Chevy Silverado cat eye with a lm7 5.3l V8 with 3.73 running 285/70 Nitto Ridge Grapps with 17-9 -12 Offset DropStars MB, I love the setup not to big and not to small the tires equal up to 33s, love your truck bro keep up the great content 👍
@@awakenthetribes8891 I have a new Silverado 5.3 with a 6" and 35's. Looks great but I lost some towing capacity and mpg of course. What I'm being told is I can tune for the tire size and lift since its a new truck. No need to re-gear. This would help with the shifting and mpg loss.
2016 Sierra 5.3 8 speed stock 3:42 gears custom tuned catback and cold air intake gets about 16-17 on an 8 inch lift, 35x13.50 tire and 22x12s. My best ever was 21.5 when it was leveled on 35s and stock wheels
Very good and thorough content brother. Although you filmed a few years back, I'm just now getting into all this madness 😅. Platinum F150 on Abs-15s-24s. Been running 33's but since I have that 2.5 level, i have the real estate to run 35's but don't want to be bogged down with that heavy setup or possibly trim. Tough dilemma I tell yall!
I have a 2011 with 24s on 35s. Regeared to 4.56 and I get 13-15.5 MPG mixed driving. I have no complaints on performance - my issue is more about the ride quality at certain speeds.
Ok, so I have a 2016 Silverado that looks just like yours. I tow a box trailer around a couple days a week to mow some yards. What tire/wheel would you recommend?
I have a 30ft toy Hauler xlr bumper pull with gmc 5.3 lifted 6 1/2 , with 3:42 gears in 35’s with iron man MT’s and pulls camper east deal. Normal acceleration and crushing 60-65 towing 8mpg with 2k on tpm toe haul ? I baby it so much love the truck
Dang bro... cool video... I got a 14 silverado Lt 4x4 with 33 x 12.5 I get 20.5 mpg on summer gas.. I don't tow much neither but I towed a car with old as heavy trailer and I forgot that thing was behind me lol...
@@thenewnorm9909 I know it’s an old post but you should put 35’s on it if you’re good with doing some cutting/fender mod. & GM/chevy have 18”’s & 20” stock
Towing: Interesting, I honestly did not have a problem, towing a U-Haul trailer from Aurora Colorado, to Phenix Arizona and back. That's with my 2014 Silverado 5.3 LTZ Crewcab. I had my Kawasaki Concours 1400 bike with a ton of stuff in my bed, with a cap. I wasn't out to race, with the truck, I drove conservatively and the truck handled it well.
I got 2018 silverado lt .. I have 24in snowflakes and will be running 35 gladiator. Do I need to upgrade control arms if I'm running 5in rough country. And also will it rub wit 5in rough country ?
When I tow with my 05 I just put 33s on my truck and when I tow now it doesn’t hold over drive that good feels like it has more power tho because it is in a lower gear but it’s nothing like the stocks I got a 2.5 inch rough country leveling kit in my truck also and I tow everyday 2-3 cars a days with my 1500 5.3
I have a 15 sierra 1500 5.3 bilstein 5100 top notch and 1/2 spacer on top with bfg 275/65/20 pretty much a 34×10.8 since i put tire on i average 14 or 15mpg on winter gas and driving the city not a lot of highway driving
heard a lot about them trucks is your truck a 6 or 8 speed my good buddy has the same year with a 8 speed and it’s honestly i decently quick stock truck
I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado riding with Toyo MT 33/12.50 with 18inch rims and it rides good looks aggressive with the tires and have no complaints except my fuel went from 15 mpg to 13mpg even though it’s not much but lucky for me my job, store, etc isn’t far from where I live...love the videos bud and hope you do another “Dirt Road Chronicles” soon really enjoy those...stay safe buddy
3.42s sure do tow better lol. 3.08s, 35s on 24s.. good lord. Ya gotta get some 3.73s or 3.90s 👌 I run 18x9+1 fuel vector bronze, and 33s, Factory was 265/65/18. 31" tire.
Lmao, I have a 2015 Silverado with a 8” bds lift 22x12 and 37x13.50r22 Atturo trail blade mt’s. Truck rides great and handles the 37’s fine. And it’s my Daily. I get 15-16mpg usually.
