Thank you for your videos Jeff! Throughout the pandemic and not being able to sing in my choir I developed some bad vocal habits. I started singing from my throat and over emphasizing consonants. This resulted in choppy disjointed singing. I also lost some of my lower range (I’m a mezzo who can sing alto and even below; I sing Alto in my choir). I started diligently using your videos again and I am happy to report that my voice is on the mend! I have some other favorite RU-vid vocal coaches who help me with other issues but some of their exercises seemed to have actually encouraged my issue. Your exercises however are helping me get back! Thank you!

I love your videos and have been learning soo much- thank you ! I just watched one of your videos where you answer questions in the comments so I’m hoping I can leave a question here! 🙏🏼 - I’ve been trying to figure out what my range is and I think I am a mezzo- I’ve been warming up to the mezzo videos for a couple months now and they are very comfortable and is where my voice feels the strongest, however, when I try to do songs in my chest voice, ( which is a bit unexplored and underdeveloped with a very limited range) for me it is all lower notes and I am wondering if I am not strengthening my chest voice bc I’m working on the higher mezzo notes usually and not touching the alto zone often. ( I am a beginner so perhaps my vocab or Way I’m putting this together is not accurate lol). But what I’m wondering is if the alto videos and the mezzo videos feel comfortable- which one am I? Also what is the best way to warm up- should I be doing both daily in order to not neglect an area of my voice?
