The Daily Wire all-stars take to Politicon for a full hour of Q&A! From abortion to gun rights, Daily Wire’s finest answer all of your burning questions live and in person!
i guess Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a way to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost my password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
"Shes the best looking person on the panel" Interesting how conservative women dont get offended. Its almost like they have their own agency and know how to take a compliment and take pride in themselves.
The conservative women I know wouldn't stab me in the back for something I said that was really stupid. I'm half convinced they would look me in the eye, stab me in the heart, then laugh while I died. You can understand why I try very hard not to insult a conservative woman.
Yeah that Chinese guy is an idiot... Jobs are not scarce atm even I a cripple almost landed a job a couple weeks ago and I can't walk! There was finally a sit down job hiring in my area at a car insurance place but the guy didn't hire me because of optics. I know that's why he didn't. When I would have to come out to take pics of damaged cars it wouldn't look good for someone in a wheelchair to take the pics besides how could I take the ones on top? I would have to have the client do it lol. I wish the call center I worked at from 00 to 08 hadn't outsourced in 2008 and laid us off. I doubt it will ever come back to Corpus CHristi though. THis town sucks! If I wasnt crippled Id be out of here!
If you drive across the US you will see we are not overpopulated. All of the unused land you see is overwhelming. People in major cities propagate that myth because they're living in this ultra dense concrete jungle.
Wow This kid is scary stupid If you're worried about population, STOP MAKING BABIES Take responsibility for having safe sex or NO SEX Since when is KILLING BABIES "population control"?? (In the US) 7 million UNFILLED jobs? Mass expanses of land all over the world (10 acres is my backyard) No mention of the elderly and infirmed who don't make it thru the winter YOU CANT KILL BABIES!
That pro-choice kid near the beginning was brave to face off against a full Daily Wire team without much research and facts. Stupid but incredibly brave. 😂
Beary Dutch Millennial I watched that video, it was supposed to be about comedy, but it was very hard to get through, there were very few funny moments, but I made it to the end. This panel was about politics, not humor, and was so much more fun and funnier. Leftists can't take or make a joke for fear of offending someone and subsequent ostracization, the right understands that a joke is a joke and some jokes are funny BECAUSE they're offensive/irreverent.
I watched the liberal panel too. I think its hilarious that the Republicans are having fun and laughing. But the liberal panel spent more time yelling at each other than anything else. (Also the video and audio quality is way better here.)
Are you a fucking idiot? It’s because Conservatives by definition don’t wanna change anything lol, while Progressives know that our world is shit and wanna implement policies like in Scandinavia to fix it
@@koukkoufos2000 maybe you should change that comment of yours or your personality entirely then we can talk about changing the world, the problem with the left is that they want to change everything but themselves by avoiding criticism. Not to say the right doesn't do that as well, but through my own experience people from the right are slightly more open minded...
@@thedreamz9376 You gotta be fucking kidding me 😂, I’m open to to criticism, criticize me all you want I don’t fucking care 😂, especially if I were an elected official because I believe in holding government officials accountable since their job is to represent us, let’s talk about ideas, also people on the right think the status quo is fine, it’s not, having millions of evictions and millions without health insurance is not okay. So you’re a fucking idiot 😂, let’s talk about ideas I can debunk you all day
@@koukkoufos2000 you cant debunk anyone. Not a single argument from Ben is weak enough that you could even have the slightest chance against him. And if your ideas are so super, you should be able to debate the best with different opinions. But i see you only attack people and think you are the best and oh so smart. You arent. Youre a joke. Oh and americans do have standard care. There arent people dying like flees on the streets because also the homeless gets treated in the ER if they bring one in with a deep cut in his quad and massive blood loss. And to have bette health care, better doctor of course you have to pay them aka the insurance! You cant steal people labour for a pathetic amount of money and force them to treat sick people for a fraction of their current income. You cant force all hard working and money earning people to pay for the health insurance of others, you cant just steal from one part and gift it to another part. You are a dictoric tyrannical fascist if you do that.
@@DELTA9XTC Nope, what single payer actually is, is taxes, Ben Shapiro’s arguments are based on selfishness, so you and him are the dumb ones not the left, also the reason American healthcare is so expansive partly because of the ER, if we had a single payer system the government could make health car cheaper by having price controls, doctors should be in it for the money they should be in it to heal people, your incentive structure is bullshit. Which country are you from? You said American healthcare lol, I bet your country has a form of universal healthcare. Also Harvard studies Proved that America has 68,000 people who die annually because they can’t afford healthcare, so your statement is wrong and a Lie. I could debate Ben Shapiro, Kyle Kulinski could easily debate him and destroy him because his Laissez Faire Capitalist ideas were tried in the late 1880s and 1920s and failed
What I love about Ben is that his mind is like a bricklaying machine. He takes in mass amounts of information and then lays it out in an orderly fashion that makes sense, and it's addicting to listen to and watch.
I think Elesha is absolutely correct about the abortion opinion of parents vs non-parents. I was indifferent about abortion before we had children but, my wife always hated abortion. Our daughters are 16 & 11 now and I have had a pro-life opinion for 16 years.
I like how she bypassed all the arguments based in logic and statistics, and got to the pure immorality of it all. Everyone else's arguments were great and very relevant, but she cut right to the chase. Good for her.
The blonde is so out of place and doesn't belong on here. instead of dismantling an argument in an adult, measured non emotional way she throws out a completely alienating and emotional argument while crying. Saying "unless you have kids you can't understand' is such BS, plenty of us pro lifers do not have children and see the value of a human life. She just alienated half the pro life movement and essentially the argument she gives is, we shouldn't try to change peopels opinions who do not actually have children. It's just an illogical and stupid remark and proved to me she didn't belong on the panel because its a cheap argument to make, not an intellectual response at all, pure emotion.
Emotion works on the left. When we say, "We believe. . ." they say, "We feel. . ." And there's nothing wrong with having emotional responses, if you could also back it up with a logical argument which I'm convinced, she could. Even though Ben Shapiro says, "Facts don't care about your feelings," sometimes the facts are in line with one's feelings, such as in this case. It was mentioned that approximately 60 million babies were eliminated from the American population since the dreadful Roe v Wade decision of 1973. I once looked up the population of each state and 60 million abortions were the equivalent of totally wiping out the entire populations of 27 US States. I'm pretty sure those 60 million valuable lives would have created enough jobs to support them. Especially in this Great Country! What a ridiculous argument from one of the lefts nut cakes. . .
i like jordan petersons response to "running for office" he said "if people are asking you to run and if you are a valued member of your community and if you have family and have been successful" the only way to understand certain issues is to have lived them
I'm both a Parent and Pro-Choice. I take the stance that it is your right (as an Adult, you have more rights than a Child), I take the stance that until a Fetus becomes viable outside of the Womb, it is incorrect to consider a Human Life, in the same way that a 79% lower Receiver isn't a firearm, but an 81% lower Receiver is. And for you pro-lifers - I'll even admit, that since becoming a Parent, my take has changed slightly "Yes, it is your right and I will defend your right. But I don't think you should do it"
MajesticDemonLord Hmm, that analogy to a lower receiver doesn't really work. A lower receiver that is 79% may not be considered a firearm, but it will never be considered a firearm when left alone unlike fetus/child that will be born without question unless you physically stop it from doing so. The moment that sperm smacks up that egg the train is off, and it will become something unless someone stops that thing from fighting to stay alive.
@@iPervy All I'll ask is can you point me to a Fetus born before the Second Trimester that successfully grew into a Human? I appreciate your perspective - if you hold the presupposition that Life begins at conception - it's a perfectly internally consistent logical statement - however the presupposition you hold is as Arbitrary as the one I hold. We have our own philosophical reasons for holding it - but unless you can prove said presupposition - you are in the same position as me.
And yet the city's keep growing and destroying the countryside, while family's are forced off of their lands because the zoning changed....YAY, CAPITALISM!
Kenneth Estes I actually disagree, I thought they could have discussed it better. Maybe I just missed their point but can you better explain what their proposed solution was?
I think the US Government would be surprised by how few soldier, sailor's, Marines, and airmen would actually follow orders to take guns away. I think Texas would find the US Military on it's side in that situation
I do agree with you, but only to an extent. Mainly because of what we learned about people's natural disposition to follow orders when given by an assumed authority figure (eg. the experiment where they had people "electrocute" strangers, and the numerous atrocities committed by the Nazi's during WWII). All that being said, I would argue that anyone who claims that a few million people with rifles wouldn't stand a chance against an actual military doesn't actually have a clue how warfare works. Guerilla warfare is, as always has been, EXTREMELY effective when facing a technologically superior foe. Yeah we (the military) have drones and other aircraft, but they have to land somewhere, and they have to be maintained by someone. The civilian fighting force would have a distinct numbers advantage and the bloodshed would be too catastrophic to maintain. The people would ultimately come out on top.
@@donatellotrump2007 true and it depends on who the General is giving the orders, the Marines will follow Mattis to Hell and back that's for certain. But having served in the Marines under Obama, I can tell you there were a good number of us who would not have followed those orders. Granted it's completely anecdotal, but I think it's going to be difficult to get a majority conservative military to raid there own communities and take away the guns. Hopefully we never find out though
@@zsedcftglkjh how dare you. She has life experience opinions. Just because you don't agree u don't have to comment. We are here supporting her soy boy
Every single member of The Daily Wire crew here is a total badass. The chemistry all of them have with each other, they are all incredibly witty and have comedic timing that would give the most propped up Hollywood leftist “comedian” a run for their money. Just looks like an awesome place to work.

Wow, I got a lump in my throat when they were debating abortion and Alicia told the questioner that his opinion would change when he has children. Made me think of the first time I heard my daughter's heartbeat. I truly believe that SOME pro-choice people are truly sociopathic. I can't imagine how anyone could hurt a defenseless child much less an unborn baby. They are wrong. They know they are wrong so they hang their hats on women's rights - which it has nothing to do with, overpopulation - which is a little Hitleresque, and rape and incest which is a tine percentage of abortions anyway. How many women who were debating abortion but decided to have the child later said "I wish I would have aborted my child" ? Then consider how many women decided to have an abortion and later regretted and felt terrible guilt for their decision. I think everyone knows which count would be higher.
Probably. Psychopaths are a good 1% of the population so it's not that much of a stretch. And not all psychopaths are criminals, a lot live decent lives although usually they are not decent people.
Well... Im confused as to what he wanted other than an out there response. He asked what he could gain from the experience, and he was asking a Jewish convert to Christianity. Given the context and the person he was asking, the answer Klavan gave seemed like the only obvious answer. If he felt alienated or something he should have asked Ben.
I'm a huge fan of Klavan as well, but everyone knows that Ben is going to have a very sharp and comprehensive point to all of these questions. In other words, it's hard for them to not give Ben the floor.
Ben Shapiro has evolved so much over the past several years, he's always been smart but he has become much more critical and open to ideas instead of sides. I think maybe it has to do with his introduction to more centrist thinkers who are intellectually comparable to him: Brett Weinstein, Jordan Peterson, Sam Harris. Now he speaks for himself, he's interested in ideas, he stands up for what he believes in and he has left the snarky bully attitude behind. I resonated a lot with one of the early questions about environmentalism. I am mostly right-leaning but environmental conservation and restoration is one of my priority issues and it really keeps me from making the Republican shift. Ben gives me hope that their are conservatives who are critical and not sheep for the party.
Hi. As a conservative/libertarian who cares about responsible care and stewardship of the planet, I get ya. I highly recommend learning from the insights from Author Joel Salatin. He's been around a while now ( in his 60s now ) and is very, very well read, travelled and experienced and can give some oft missing info on some environmental topics. From state/national parks issues to lots more. His book " the marvelous pigness of pigs ....." is not actually about pigs ( most of his books are on farming topics ) but is to ( primarily ) Christians about the general failure of Christians and conservatives in being good stewards , yet also challenges the eco crowd on all the things they buy into which aren't true and in general educates all of us on some topics. As a Christian, I dislike some of his uses of Bible verses ( mainly at the beginning of each ch. ) , his application of them as the book goes on, imo seem more and more too out of context & stretched uses of them which I think can be a bad example and maybe confusing or misleading to folks. The latter ch. also get a bit redundant. Other than that I highly recommend the book and many, many of his blog posts from the 1st several months of his blog have a ton of great info too.
Honestly cannot remember the last time I have had the privilege of hearing an actual discussion with facts and civility. Good day to you all.... good day
Something I just realized is the only reason people even consider abortion is this whole notion of being "born" vs being "alive". We call it a birthday but the truth is your real birthdate in terms of science should be when you are conceived. Remember back to your high school biology class where you characterized what makes something "living". A fetus, whether it is 2 cells or 200 billions cells, fits the definition of a living thing. When a snake eats a birds eggs do we not say that the snake killed those birds? When a pregnant mother is murdered doesn't the convict get a double homicide? Being born is a very distinct thing, but being born is not the characteristic that turns you from something non-living to something that is. You are alive from the moment your mothers egg was fertilized. If you are against 3rd trimester abortions but are ok with early abortions I would like to know the logic there. At what point does it become a living human then?
The finger should be pointing to Pro-choice kid simply because he deems some people unfit to live. It's not a hate thing. In a hostage situation, rescuers consider the hostage taker the one who is the least indispensable life.
You are entitled to HEALTH and SAFETY 100%, this is a human right. Thank God I was born in Canada! I had a liver tumor and had half of my liver removed along with other surgeries. I've suffered so much with my health...I would NOT be alive today if I were in the USA and I'm only 30. It's outrageous that they are comparing health to car insurance...these are people's lives. Must be nice to be so financially privileged that you can't even see the people who need help over your stacks of money.
If abortion is a necessary evil for population control then fighting for a wall could also be justified.I wonder what the abortion rate is in other countries.
Thanos should have attended this Q & A session. Maybe he would have learned that killing half the universe is not the best way t go. (Though it seemed to me he wasn't very strong in the area of intellect).
The realest answer to any of these questions was when the lady replied to the kid at the beginning who was pro choice. Your outlook on life changes the minute you find out you are having a child.
They should have brought up the fact for the question regarding what pieces of legislation have actually been put forward by democrats that have been either voted on or passed to confiscate or fine gun owners the law passed in Illinois in which they passed a bill out lawing the ownership of AR-15 and making it a $1,000 a day fine for each day you refuse to turn in your gun to the government. I know it’s been put fraught back in the courts by I don’t know if yet there has been a decision if the law will stand or not yet.
Alicia Krauss, the first moment I got excited while watching this was when Alicia engaged the panel about the California political nature. it was oddly dodged out. I think the time limit really hurt this panel's efficacy.
That guy acting like no pay raise in stuff Colorado went up from 8$ an hour to over 10 in pass two years before that it went from 5.15 an hour to 8 in 20 year span just saying...
Anyone else notice that the only videos that show up when you search "Politicon 2018" were published by "The Young Turks". I tried to watch the video and they actually cut parts out of the debate. Search Charlie Kirk vs. Sam Seder, watch the video and then compare to the actual archived livestream and you will see what I mean.
To answer the woman @42.00 Deerfield Illinois had proposed a ban of semi automatic rifles. If owners refused to give them up after 60 days the owner would be fined $10k a day until they did. They were also saying the Deerfield Police department could come in and confiscate all the owners firearms. This was in 2016 or 2017.
