Yareal Jerseys are one of the largest jersey herd in the country, with plans to expand to be the biggest jersey herd in Europe.
The herd are benefitting from DairyLight. DairyLight is a fully automated system that works together with natural daylight to deliver a 16-hour long day photoperiod, proven to increase activity and productivity.
The DairyLight system is only ‘on’ when the indoor natural light level falls below 200 lux. The system switches automatically to red light at night, which is well known to improve rest. Delivers improved lighting and environment for cows and staff
