Nice shooting man, head shots every time. And your 880 is a lot prettier than mine. Lol. I've had mine since 1985, it's been re-sealed a few times, and it's a little rough looking, but man it still shoots great. I squirrel hunt with mine, always have. It's so much cheaper, safer, and quieter than using a 22 rifle or a 410 shotgun when hunting squirrels. My 880 has always kept my freezer full of squirrel meat.
I have a Daisy 880. At 10 yards I use 2 pumps shooting beer cans. BBs and pellets clean through. At 20 plus yards I pump 4 to 10 times. Very accurate and fun gun.
Never underestimate the Daisy 880!! I have the same scope on mine. It was my starter rifle and I've since gone to PCP. Around the house I use the 880 for pest birds and squirrels. I don't think that I will ever stop using it. Merry Christmas and thanks for sharing.
Even when you own a PCP the 880 never gets old. It's the first one I recommend when someone ask me for a first airgun option. The only thing I'd change is a little more of power. Greetings from México.
Sweet setup tho! I love the budget thing lets see 45 +30 +5 and your making good scope cam hunting footage like the rich European guys with thousand dollar guns and five hundred dollar scopes. Love it
I’m late to this but I have the daisy 901. It’s just like the 880 but just a different pump handle. Mine is also very accurate at two pumps as it is at 8 pumps. Gotta say I had no idea it would be able to drop a mouse at 20 ft with only two pumps. That’s awesome. I thought maybe 4 but at 4 pumps you were dropping rats. Wow!
I want to use my 880 to teach deer to stay out of my garden, but I don't want to break the skin. I sighted in at 30 yards using three pumps. Does anyone out there have advice for me?
@@douglash7585yeah it might but also keep in mind it is a deer and they do have thicker skin but I would stick to using BBs instead of bullets and maybe 2 pumps is enough
My dad works at a place where they make green energy with the farts of bacteria but the bacteria need food so they get huge amounts of food from supermarkets and stuff if their food is outdated so my dad can use it but rats love the food so they have rat traps all over the place and I am allowed to shoot them with my daisy powerline 880
I love the American sir rifles they are an areal American hunters ❤️ the daisy power line 880 is an embassador of the dead on the hunters field to me is the best friend god bless the daisy power line 880 he kill every think I spotted the grind on the objet is good & pry it a daisy. Power line 880
... man that how bad it was at the beginning... They would walk around like they own the place and not get frightened by us.... Since we got the cats... We haven't seen a single one inside the house
I would be afraid to go to sleep after killing a couple of those rats…. I would worry about their family coming to attack me in my sleep. Honestly you need you 2 big Tom Cats..
@@deadlead03 WRONG!!!! they clearly did NOT die instantly! He should have done at least 5 or 6 pumps. And then right after shoot it again to end it.he just watched them twitch in pain!!!!
I would suggest a few more pumps next time, you will ensure cleaner kills and honestly a little more humane as well. Good shooting though, just my 2 cents
Is that really only 2 pumps because there are rats out side my house damn neer every night i have the 880 powerline daisey and i pump it 15 times and it dont even kill em
2 pumps with the Daisy 880, using Crosman pellets, will provide almost 400 fps. If you're just a few yards away, that's enough to kill a mouse easily. Using 4 pumps will provide close to 500 fps, more than enough to penetrate a rat at 12 yards.
You need to pump it more than 2 times cmon the animals are still alive . 2 pumps is for plinking 5 pumps or more for pest control. You want the pellets to penatrate. Cmon be humane and use more than 2 pumps.
It’s not like he was hitting like his leg or something, he was penetrating the head very well. Also, he was only at twenty feet, if it was at 30+ feet that would be a problem but he wasn’t. It was only mice, they’re EASY to kill. And you don’t know what pellets he was using, he could’ve been using lethal pellets. Keep your problem to yourself. Have a nice day 👍🏼✌🏼
@@10vibezzz he said hollow point . I have the same airgun and multiple scopes. Two pumps is actually kinda weak. Like I shot my self in the arm with a round pellet in front of my old lady to prove it wouldn't penatrate animals. It just left a nasty welt. One or two more pumps would have been a more lethal shot. Each pump adds about 80-90 fps. And each gun is difrent. When I shoot mice and rats with atleast 4 pumps they don't usually lay there and squirm. I don't thinks 2 pumps is enough penatration for any pellet at that range. It's just my opinion not a problem don't be a snark little bastrd.
@@JDMACC Well your skin is much much more thick then mice’s skin. They also clearly lied down and didn’t move too too much. Maybe learn how to type too, see ya.
You can look it up, or ask at a store that sells them. I would assume you couldn't buy a gun that you need a license for without providing proof of the license. None needed in most of NY (not sure about NYC).
