I've seen these cute little flowers show up in my yard for a few years now, but I didn't know what they were called, and nor did I know how to search for them online. Once I tried to uproot one, and replant it in my flowerbed, but it didn't survive. Today, I did a Google search for daisy, and a photo of fleabane also popped up. Your video also showed up on Google search results, so I decided to click on it and watch it. It was most informative. Thank you for doing this short video!

My grandson and I love looking up weeds and learn how to use them. My favorite color is lavender; makes sense. We noticed the fleabane this spring growing near our apartment complex mostly because of their lavender color. Im glad I found your channel.

I have a licensed day care and also, I am a Waystation for Monarchs. I care for young children up to five years old. After that, they come to visit. We have talked about pollinators and how important is to leave all the first flowers for them. Especially the dandelions. I always get these little white flowers in my yard, but this year (2023 in Baltimore, Maryland), my yard was full of them. It was gorgeous! The children (girls and boys) were cutting bouquets for their parents, at the end of each day. Later in the Spring, I pulled them, except for the ones that still had blooms. Oh, my goodness! The one left is still blooming and my sister--in-law told me what it was. And here I am. Doing research and finding this awesome video about this amazing plant. I am ready to share with all the parents and friends. The one left looks amazing among my cone flowers. The girls started immediately trying to make bouquets. I had to let them, but it STILL has some flowers. You can imagine what will happen next year, if I didn't uproot them all. Now, alter knowing all of this, I need them, I want them, I can't leave without them!

I have so much fleabane have been looking up what I can do with it. Thanks for the video. I did sub. I believe the pink hued ones are the PA type. They are both used the same. Apparently this is good for ulcerative colitis and ibs. Still on the hunt. Glad you are finding and enjoying a passion 💖 like many 😁

Hi Mike Brodie. Thanks for taking time to comment. My channel is more about introducing children and families to discover things outdoors and find out some plants we call weeds have names and histories etc. Agreed. I am not a practicing herbalist or forager but a 35 year veteran science teacher. I encourage people more interested in edibility and medicinal uses to go onto channels with creators with that experience. This was one of my first attempts to engage viewers on RU-vid. I hope you might check out my latest videos on yellow rocket...violets...Colts foot ..ground ivy and more and let me know if content/quality/value have improved! But...ha! Keep in mind my goals and audience! Glad you are out there looking to learn more about natural products! Appreciate your observations!
