I like the Daisy airgun of my youth, but I get much better results with Crosman pellets than Daisy pellets. Poorer groups and had to drive the windage hard left-puzzling, but so it was.
I just got one of these myself. I did notice that you on two of your shots you pumped 7 times, and one shot 8 times. You were talking and lost count. Stick to exactly the same number of pumps for each group. Also, many of us who enjoy the multi-pump airguns pump them much slower than you are in the video. I like to open the pump handle, take a short pause, and close the handle and do that with every pump. That gives the gun valving more time to take in the air before closing the pump handle. Don't be worried that different brand or different configuration of pellets shoot to different areas on the target. Where they shoot doesn't really matter. The pellet that shoots the smallest groups wins, no matter where they hit. It would be nice if different pellets all shot to the same spot on the target, but they probably won't. My 880 hates any Crosman pellet I've shot in it. I've only found three pellets that do very well at all. The Daisy flat point (or wadcutter), the Game Match wadcutter, and the one my gun likes te best is the Beeman Coated hollow points. Every airgun is different in what pellets will shoot the best in them. I have tried a number of pellets in mine. Probably 20 different ones, and some shoot 2-3 inches away from other brands.
Jon Neet - Great pellet advice. I second you on the Beeman hollow point. Great price and good for hunting. Though the econo line by H&N - Excite - has great performers for a few bucks a tin like Hammers and Plinkers.
Part of the vertical POI problem with both pellets is that you used different numbers of pumps for the shots (from 6 to 8 pumps from my count). Consistency requires the same number of pumps. Also for better consistency pause once the pump is open on each pump, so it can better draw air. Yes the Crosman are better than the Daisy pellets, though there are way better pellets than either of those.
Each rifle will have its own preference, even of the same model rifle. Though Winchester Round Nose, H&N Sniper Megnum, and most other H&N pellets, as well as most RWS pellets. The heavier the pellet the better (usually, for 8 to 10 pumps heavy pellet)
