Got my youngest kid hooked up with a daisy buck and the other kid with a red ryder. My old red ryder and my quicksilver are fun but I wanted something a little more "adult" to plink with them. I bought a crosman cf7sxs nitro break barrel pellet gun. Nice gun, but a lot of work to just repeatedly shoot cans and what not. Was debating a 880 or 901 but just ordered a 901 after watching this. @@GuidersGunGuideGGG-USA Already did some research on that, thanks anyway. I don't know why but smaller RU-vidrs that purely do for fun or to grow their channel always seem to have the best quality videos compared to big ones that have millions of subscribers because most of them just do it for the money, anyway just keep up the good work.
Oh yes I have that drawer in the kitchen LOL. The plastic is very good on this gun it is also the same on the Daisy 35. The big thing with the 35 is that it is a smooth boar. I shoot Crossman heavy 10 gr pellets and it is sort of like shooting a shotgun with a slug. The plastic on the Daisy 880 is not as good as this gun or the 35 it is more of the hollow-sounding plastic. Great review looking forward to more of your videos. Hope you have a great week.
I just picked one of these up for backyard squirrel hunting. I had a Powerline 990 for almost 30 years that finally stopped holding air. Grabbed a Tasco 2-7x32 scope for it. We will see how it does...

Great video. Saw one of your videos on GTA and when I was looking up stuff on the 901 and saw you had one, definitely had to watch it. Looks like a great rifle, hopefully it performs. Just so you know, the audio was out of sync in the middle of the video for a bit. But still good.

Hopefully your channel grows exponentially and you have fun doing it. Funnily enough, because of your channel I found out the 1977xs is actually a slightly different gun then the regular 880. Hence the increase in power. Which now makes my choice which to get harder. Do I go with the 901 or the 1977? I am curious to see what velocity you get out of the 901.

It is weird. Now if they would uses these parts to make a 22 Cal version.
you should get the legacy 1000 then go on ebay and buy aset of recievers for the 2100 classic crosman rifle then you got metal receivers on the gun and way better gun a hot rod 2100 is what you will have then lollol yes i do it all the time
I did exactly that with the Remington Airmaster 77. It's the same as the Legacy 1000. Except I put an older generation Remington Airmaster 77 metal receiver on it.

What would be a good scope, in your opinion, to pair with the 901? We are looking to pick up a air rifle soon and I dont want to buy "scope combo" kit for reason you have also stated in this video. Great video!
With hammer and valve stem designs like PCPs and Crosman pumpers, that can be the case. The Daisy designs doesn't use a hammer and valve stem though. Are you offering this advice as a general statement for all airguns or is there something specific to the Daisy design that you're aware of that makes them susceptible to damage from dry firing?
@@GuidersGunGuideGGG-USA make sure to never shoot steel BB's in the Daisy 901 because it will damage the rifling in the bore of the barrel. That will cause the airgun to not shoot lead pellets accurately. Many years ago I was shooting BB's in a earlier version of the 1377 Crosman airgun pistol. I would see sparks coming out of the barrel in the dark. The Crosman pistol was stamped with the .177 pellets and BB recommendation use on it's metal receiver.
You're absolutely correct. 100% I never shoot BBs from rifled barrels, even in these budget end guns that market themselves as "dual ammo", for exactly that reason.
