How would you like the Harrier? Im trying find some different between the Badger which is 1 year after (2022) and the Harrier, from some website I read they state the Harrier is solid tip and does that really affect your cast/ feeling?
I truly enjoy using this rod. It is a tad bite stiff but it’s not like a broom stick. I don’t have any issues casting it. I went from a Valkyrie 72H to this 610H Harrier. I like it more as I do enjoy shorter rods being on the kayak. It’s a beast of a rod and I love setting the hooks on fish with it (as you can tell in the video LOL) It super strong and sensitive. You can’t go wrong with this rod.
@@dvangfishing thanks for the info, I also own the Moongazer but it broke last week so I am looking out for a replacement, how would you compare it to the Moongazer? Also did you notice about the guide system as is it titanium torzite or just titanium sic? since I fish a lot of saltwater in my country also so just curious about what they put for the rod, the guide material was not mention on Daiwa website tho, thanks for the help.
@@kietpham6039 it’s definitely different compared to the Moongazer. Don’t get me wrong, the Moongazer is a strong rod but the Harrier has way more backbone and power. I feel like it’ll take a lot to break the Harrier. Haha. About the guides, I’m not 100% sure about it. I think a good replacement/comparison rod for the Moongazer would be a Evergreen Kaleido 69MH Stallion GT.
@@dvangfishing thanks for the info, I just recieve the Stallion DG yesterday and also own the Stargazer, base on what you said then I think the Badger would be a perfect replace for my Moongazer, never tried the Steez line up before, hopefully its not to crispy and break like my Moongazer haha, appreciate your info!
I actually decided to use my MD as a dedicated swimbait reel. I bought the Legit Design Wildside Big Bait Special rod and will be using it together as my big swimbait setup.
@@dvangfishing Thanks for info, Oh Well.... Thought maybe due to the heavy weight of the Antares DC MD sitting on the top of Harrier will make it much more balance while holding that set :)... If i am not mistaken, you are using CD MD and Orion The Black Rose how do u like it??? and maybe you should compare them :)
@@wirinharwirjawan6422 yeah. I never had any issues with it on the Evergreen Orion. I just wanted to try something lighter on The Black Rose, so I bought the Zillion HD to pair with it.
Any chance you could tell me if the Harrier is good for pitching jigs/worms? I mean, is it sensitive with slack-line or does it need to be under load? Thanks 🙏🏽
There’s a couple of sites. jdmtackleheaven, Japanlureshop, Japandreamtackle. They are roughly $550-$600 depending on which site you’re looking at. These rods are some of the best rods though. Super lightweight and strong.
@@kjcc9830 the Megabass Evoluzion are very nice too, so are the Valkyries. I love my Evergreen Orion rods though. The Evergreen Kaleido are also very nice.
The Steez Harrier is 2021 and the Steez A is the 2017 model. I had the new Steez A II (2022) but I didn’t like how the spool clicked at the end of each cast. So I sold it.
@@andrewreaves851 this trip might be my last trip for a couple of weeks (maybe months). I have a newborn on the way any day this week. But when I’m able to, I’ll head out to Tuckertown.
