A mother who stands up for a kids, no matter what,,, Dakalo you are one of the kind, most mothers give up easily,,, but you stood,,, through the strength of our most high...I'm so proud of you😊
And I’m here with my 2% education running my own business at 25 and my mom doesn’t want me, let alone talk to me . I’d beg her to ask my 5 yr old baby sis to call me and she won’t even respond
@@matodzindwammbi9898Be patience with her We living in a cruel word where devil is in control of divisions in families. Even the bible tell us about that. Pray to God for her healing. ❤🙏
I was a marijuana, heroin, crack cocaine, cocaine, crystal meth addict and alcoholic. I was saved by giving my life to Jesus Christ and through the knowledge from the Holy Spirit. Addiction is caused by demonic entities that's why rehab doesn't work for most people. Addiction is a spiritual challenge.
@@briellagabif anything, we missed out now because she couldn’t adequately express herself. They could’ve added subtitles, which would’ve been more inclusive than “speaking” English.
Nkosi yami, it’s so hard ukuba umzali. I’m thinking of my own daughter. You can give your child everything but influence & peer pressure will show you flames. We need prayer.
Weed & hubly is a gateway to a lot of drugs, don't take it lightly the moment you find out your child is using it. Dakalo's story is a reality of a lot of families and it's so draining. she is such a strong mother. I'm so happy her daughter is finally at a safe place
So true I don't understand why parents permit their kids to smoke hubbly even. God gave parents a responsibility to take care of their own, some situations are unforeseeable but we are to protect our kids as parents.
I don’t mean any disrespect but as an ex addict there is no such thing as an entry drug. Addiction is a mental disease and the problem with our community is we blame other things but really it’s a mental illness. This why I also hate the statement black women are strong, all that must stop. It probably explains why she got worse after she lost her bf, grief will eat you alive, if you don’t have a strong mind or support system around you, you will have no problem meeting death too. I’m grateful coz my mom is a social worker and the way my family negated the situation helped me face my demons and ultimately understand what exactly what I was grieving. I’m not saying weed and hubly are good just that there is more to it than just that. Like she said most addicts have this fascination with spirituality (sangoma part) it’s coz they constantly looking for an escape and most don’t even know what they are running from anymore because of the drugs numbing effect but with therapy there is nothing God cannot do!
I'm asking myself the same thing sisi. Where are these guys. Do they move on and forget their children. My ex boyfriend left with no reservation. No regret. Thank God my child is not into drugs, but Ex failed us. He continues to.
The fathers are hibernating somewhere, just waiting for the kid to finish school or just about to finish, and they will show their faces knowing that now they won't have to take care of the child anymore since they are now all grown up
Most father's are absent, the present ones are very tough when coming to drugs and bad behaviour, so they give the kids tough love whereas as mother's we still one walk this journey with them. I've been there, my son was addicted to weed, he had 3 major drug induced psychotic episodes. The 2nd episode he was admitted at Rand Clinic, the ward had mixed race, blacks, whites, Indians, coloureds, Christians, Muslims, Hindus etc. All fighting same battle, drugs. During visiting hours, you only see mother's coming to check on them but not father's, why? Some are absent and some it's just black and white no grey area. You wanna be a child in my house, you obey my rules or get out of my house
Maybe the mothers left the fathers because the fathers were too strict, too serious, too many rules. It ONE of the reasons of course, other fathers were just nonsense or abusive ect. Theres many reasons, its better to treat the situations individually and ask the mothers, not make generalizations.
hi Promise, just a suggestion. maybe you should introduce ice breaker questions to help guests with nerves and get more comfortable. otherwise i love your craft.
I’m a 21 year old trying to navigate this life thing and yoh I’ve never cried like this ,listening to this beautiful lady talk about everything she’s going through just makes my heart break and just seeing how she’s not giving up on her daughter is so heartwarming.I really am praying for my peers we really indulge in things that just open gate for other things .Love and light to mammie really praying for her I hope her daughter heals 🥺And can we as the young ones be a positive example to our younger peers
What a touching podcast. Thanks, Mama, for the courage to share your story and for not giving up on your daughter. Thanks to Promise for offering to contribute towards the rehab fee. May I request that you don't go to the rehab and not even interview at all because it will make her more vulnerable. In the future, she might struggle to get a job, for instance, or being in a relationship because of her past online. This story is enough. You can just do a follow-up after rehab and find out from her mum how the experience has been.
Strength to you mommy Just please remember to give some attention to your little one as well...i really don't know how you will do it because older daughter is taking so much of your time but your little one also needs you as well.
Watching this made me cry ....it made me miss my late mother...this gal has no idea how lucky she is to have a mother like dakalo....ive been going thru things in life alone and i had to pick myself up alone😢Good bless this woman and continue giving her strength
I have learned so much and very eye opening thank you mommy for openly sharing your story, God heal your daughter and bring her back strong, her purpose is above her but she is equipped
Strongest mom ever!! Wow! Thank you promise for considering those viewers who don’t understand South African language! I am glad I get to listen to this! This episode touched me so much!
Our justice system is fucked up. We have a drug problem in SA, a concerned mother asks for help/ assistance n they tell her shit. She's over 18, yes, but she needs help... What are they saying. It's OK to have drug addicts because they are over 18...
Our system has failed us long time ago and if they find you locking the child indoors you'll be arrested. Yoh it's a joke, kanti why kumele ilizwe lethu life kabuhlungu kangaka?
As someone who works with both children and adults battling substance addiction, I totally understand your point. However, it’s very difficult to work with someone who is being forced to go to a rehabilitation facility. The inpatient treatment program consists of therapy sessions which require a lot of commitment from the client. You can use various techniques such as motivational interview as a therapist but if the client is not interested, the sessions will not be that effective. There’s a model that we make reference to when helping our clients which is called the change model which has about 5 stages. It’s very difficult to work with a client that is in the first stage where the client does not see anything wrong with their behaviour.
Also shout out to your people in your circle who help u with those R200 that went up to R6000 those are real ones ,you are amazing mom God will see you through he has much bigger plans for you n your daughter you passed his test with distinction you will now reap .trust in him as he lives in you ❤❤❤love you mami, you made me 😢a lot though
Honestly, as content consumers lets be kind and selfless..Promise tries to give content weekly, can we allow her to grow and do whats best for all her subscribers
My heart is not only bleed from the story but also at how MEAN people are. This lady is doing her best to express herself but of course private school higher grade youtube English teachers will always find fault in every single guess who does not have similar vocabulary and accent nje ngabo
This was heartbreaking to hear. It was also so informative. Thank you mama for not giving up on your daughter. May God give both you and your daughter a beautiful testimony that will safe many people.
I found myself crying throughout the interview 😭😭mommy, I love your fighting spirit. Keep doing it for your child. She doesn't have to like you now but she will love you more when she turns out well. Much love to you ❤️❤️❤️
I'm here for Dakalo's courage, tenacity, determination, and, of course, her beauty. I pray that come January 2025, her daughter will be clean and ready to pick up the pieces of her life.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Deep pain ❤ please sis let please all the youth and anyone who in this deep problem of drugs 😂😂😂Sis i pry That JEHOVAH GIVE MATLA Name of the son JESUS CRIST AMEN JOB 1 END JEHOVAH WILL Correct the situation Amean
Dakalo, you have spoken for some of us who are in the same situation as you. I see myself in your tenacity and spirit of not giving up on your child. Your daughter will be used by Our God to speak life and hope to other kids. You are being used to encourage us mommies to keep on living. God is our strength. You have done well, I am super proud of you.
The things mothers go thru i have been there but my daughter died may her soul rest in peace . When she died i said to her body at last you found rest that you never had on this earth
I saw your videos on TikTok last night, I never cried so much 😢, you are fighting for your child mama and big ups to you , we really need men to step up. Going through such hardships as a single mother can be a toll on your health too. I hope you and your daughter find healing.
Thank you for not giving up on your daughter. I'm so proud of you mama♥♥ Grateful that the interview was mostly conducted in English. Great interview, she articulated herself well. I would like to hear the daughter's story next year. Thank you Promise and Dakalo
Sad indeed, what a waste of an intelligent child😢.Drugs are a nightmare in our society.Sorry mama, keep the faith.God will come thru for you andyour precious daughter ❤️
What an incredible story...what a brave mother...❤you look so gorgeous and one wouldn't even say you went through what you went through. God be with you
We are crying with you mommy, I’m 23 years old and I have a rehabilitation home also in Limpopo where by we deal with such heart breaking stories on a day to day basis, i wish her a full recovery and please after the program there try to take her for therapy she still has a lot of underlying issues. Love & light❤️
Just wondering, why do most podcasters not like(heart) our comments? Not saying Like EVERY comment , however hearting comments also gives the viewers the motivation to continue commenting, knowing that the podcaster sees you and they also acknowledge your support as well in as much as we’re supporting their craft by commenting, liking and subscribing. Some people go crazy when they fave hearts their comments on some “OMG, Promise liked my comment 😭💃🏾🕺”… I wish podcasters knew this. Yes some people don’t care whether their comment was given a heart or not but some do
Never have I ever seen a parent who loves their kids the way Dakalo loves her daughter in my life, even after putting her through all these, she is still putting her daughters feelings, she feels her pain and she empathise with her through and through. Now thats unconditional love
A brilliant child indeed .i thank God for a mother like you..she will be in my prayers and i love her so much.she is a star.God give you strength ma to fight and win...
Just watched this podcast. This is a heartbreaking 💔 story. Dikalo, you are an amazing and strong woman. Thank you for sharing. Your story helps others. Promise your podcast is excellent 👌. Well done. 🎉
New subscriber Sis Promise you are doing good job 👏👍🙌Sis Dakalo she is a strong woman 💪✋she tried everything to help her daughter im proud of you, you a mbokodo❤God protect your daughter and give her strength 💪love you lots.
I wish you asked about Dakalos background. Where she comes from and grew up. Her parents. And not mention the part where she stays and work. You could have cut that out. All the best to the girl and strength to the mother.
True...Wanted to also know more about the child not just the problematic child ...So that we can get a picture what lead her to drugs .what signs we should look out for 😢😢
@@pearlnyawoza7765but mommy mentioned that she was doing well at school, no signs of smoking apart from the smell and unhygienic bedroom and lack of self care. Dakalo also mentioned that her daughter is smart and her behaviour was not of of her usual character. So basically there are no signs that she can really point out for you as a parent, children are different, you know your child and if your gut tells you something listen!
As a mother…. You did the best you could have done. Do never ever feel like you could have done anything better. Life could not have prepared you for this…. You’re an amazing mom and you have and continued to do your best.
Dare I hear anyone say that Xolani Sizo'khola is wrong nywe nywe ...drugs are evil and look at the destruction it causes...and this is just 1 of many many stories 💔
I love you mommy, thank u for giving me hope as a young mother raising two girls. I pray for them so much and for wisdom to bring them up well. God bless u and strengthen u for the role he's given you
The random party planning banners while the video was discussing drugs and possible sex trafficking was a little distasteful. Let’s save them for more lighthearted topics. A banner for a rehab centre or a helpline would’ve been better for this episode because it’s such a sensitive topic.
U really went throu a lot with this child in a very short space of time from all that I'm just putting together from the story that u wer telling and stil going through a lot and all that did nt really break you and for that I would say keep on being that strong Mom for ur Daughters as u are all what they have ❤❤❤
U are such a Beautiful lady for a starter and very polite I dnt know how would I have survived all this if I was the person going throu all that I would have went crazy😢😢😢 I really respect you for your strongest may ur Daughter get all the help that she needs and wen she comes back be that good child that u onced had and nt go back to drugs again and have that happy family again may God bless you and keep on giving u that strength to deal with all this for your 2 Daughters 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾♥️♥️❤
You are a very strong willed person, I truly admirer your strength and support. The compromises u have made to win your child back is everything any wise mother will do. The world will judge but u are the one walking this path, live it the best way u know how and keep prayed up🙏✨
Shame what a sad story ,may God give you strength heal you nd your daughter. you are a strong women you didn't give up on your daughter .sending lots of hugs 🤗🤗
That rehab is the best I don't know where is it but I know someone from there and I was impressed.... ❤ May God keep you strong Mommy and all the best Stay beautiful ❤
Hi Promise, just a suggetion... maybe introduce subtitles for guests who feel most comfortable relating their stories in their home languages...might also help with nerves also
