THIS MUST BE THE BEST "FOR DUMMY" VIDEOS I HAVE EVER SEEN...GREAT JOB TO THE PERSON WHO PUT THIS TOGETHER...ALMOST AS GOOD AT THE DAKAR ITSELF. THANK YOU!!
Awesome Video definitely one of the hardest racing my son has ever raced this year he’s with Redbull team USA 🇺🇸🏁🙏 maybe get some luck this year go BLADE go
Dakar fans need to appreciate BAJA 1000 more. Its 10 years older than DAKAR and is extremely tough. Both 2019 Dakar champions competed in the last Baja 1000 and did outstanding by finishing 2nd, they appreciate it. I wish someday Dakar rally will allow Trophy Trucks (4x4) in the race. Several Dakar winners have tried is and vice versa, but none has won both. Apart from Nasser and Toby Price only Danny Laporte has come close to win both races.
@@cliveramsbotty6077 Why being american is not good? Its good to have a lot of classes and less regulations. What I like the most is that the vehicles are superior to Dakar, but I don't like that its raced like Le Mans with drivers changing. There are sometimes three or more drivers racing one car. I wish they did it more the Ironman's way. There is definitely lack of coverage for this event.
I appreciate it a lot. Sadly there's so little coverage of in Europe. Do you think Baja trucks could face such a long race? I've allways been a great fan of Robby Gordon and his trucks/Hummers but he never managed to get the cars reliable enough.
@@GTfour01 I think TT's could do it because even now top teams rebuild the cars after each stage. Baja track with a lot of stones is extremely tough terrain for any vehicle. I think Robby Gordon had a too small operation, basically a privateer compared to big factory or semi-factory (X-raid) teams. He can match the speed, but he can't match the reliability as it takes a lot more resources and testing. Also those teams do Dakar style events all year, they are just more experienced.
@@Gualo92 I for one would welcome Trophy Trucks. They're spectacular. Sadly, knowing the French and their disdain for the U.S.A., they're probably not gonna allowe them in.
I remember as a boy thinking the equivalent of WRC was cool... ...and then seeing the Dakar highlights for single motorcycles... ...and was like... ...y'all crazy! ...and really cool.
Great Video and documentary of the race and its history and entry rules etc. Been a long time fan of the race since conception and always try to follow the action. All the very best to the competitors, the teams, support staff and organizers and anyone else involved. Please be safe and hammer down - giver sh*t, and have fun. Cheers all
Great video! I like that rally goes to different places like South America, Saudi Arabia and keep the original Dakar race in Africa (Africa Eco Race). After all this used to be Paris-Alger-Dakar rally (not Dakar rally). They should return to Algeria and many other African countries. The more countries they cross the more special the event will be.
Массовый старт, он самый зрелищный, пусть будет так, конечно не забывая о безопасности участников и наблюдателей, но только а таком варианте Дакар, настоящий, неудержимый дерзкий,это гонка для сильных духом людей
Part of trying to make muhammedanism look like any normal religion. The organisation turning their eyes away from the weekly public decapitations and the opression and murder on women and anyone not muhammedan.
@@aboalazbh Islamophobia is a term invented by muhammedans to demonise all who dare critisize their deathcult doctrine. It is common practice for the Saudi government to engage in public beheadings. Denying is lying. Cut that crap. Taqiyya is not working on me.
@@GTfour01 death row in saudi Arabia are less than the us and you just proved that you are an islamophobic by spreading lies about a religion that you know nothing about you can respond as much as you want iam not engaging with you anymore
I still think bikes and quads should be in one category as well a cars and SxS's. 3 categories is enough. There used to be just one in 1979 with cars and bikes and trucks racing just for one win.
No, putting all in the same category makes no sense, that's why they divided in categories, and quads are not the same vehicules as bikes, the same with SxS and cars.
@@yomauser I think they should be just classes. Three categories are enough. It seems that the value to win Dakar with bike is greater than with quad and that is not good. Quads and SxS basically are no real categories. They are slowing down SXS so they can't beat the Minis, but those vehicles have potential and should have been in the same category with the cars. Nobody cares or remembers who won SXS in 2019.
Yes, that thing about reducing power is nonsense imo, or maybe because if top brands like Mini, VW got smashed by a simple UTV they won't paid in publicity for Dakar or something like that.
Not bad but would have been better to go in to more detail on the scoring. Overall vs categories etc. I’m still confused as to whether the “overall” is truly overall… The fun thing about races like the TDF is the races within the race… you’d be better served by making sure people understand any of those if there are any.
Wheres jan and the mighty double engined big rigs A true challenge to handle the might and danger of the engines and to truly push the limit of whats considered a death wish
That's the thing I wish they show the privateer leaderboard and highlights of the real Dakar riders!!! The big money big sponsorship teams get all the the press and yeah that's why they sponsor them but come on. They don't have it half as hard as the real privateers, you go on about the spirit of the Dakar and yet you hardly show it
With the spirit of Dakar being lost when it was removed from africa due to the inability of the subhumans being able to be civilized and not attack drivers, the Dakar has moved onto other continents and continued its long tradition of showing favor to french contestants and high paying sponsors when it comes to trivial things such as logistics, politics and partiality.
