Stats: Could be worse, it's for Hammond: 15 Could be worse, it's for Clarkson: 11 Could be worse, it's for May: 14 Could be worse, it's all of them: 3 Could be worse, it's neither: 3 2:45 I watched that clip again (the full one) and there's an extra "could be worse" for James there. So, he ties Hammond
@@cologist Yeah, could be a part of modern times that came after Clarkson was fired from top gear and car industry went to shit and is only getting worse with all the CO2 malarkey and the rest of the limp wristed drivel spouted by money grabbing scum that pretend to do what they do in the name of saving the nature or whatever the argument at hand... The world really went to shit since top gear died, not because of it, but clarkson getting fired was right there when shit hit the fan properly... Not just a few turds hitting the fan, but the whole ocean of shit hitting a turbojet line... Its why i have all the top gear on my pc... A therapy content and a throwback to a better era... Not to talk about 80`s and 90`s... Fuck me, what happened with the world at large... Thats a rhetorical question...
my favorite one is still the episode where they each get and kit out cars that are suitable as a teens first car--When Clarkson and Hammond steal the remote to May's sound system and glue the volume wheel at full volume and then proceed to play like EDM at full blast.
@@JetFalcon710 James still got his sweet revenge in the end, even if it took a few years at the least, especially since he went a step above and wired Hammond's horn into his indicator
08:48 "They've given me an interesting game". That's one of the reasons why James is my favourite. His never-ending patience and the way he always sees life with joy.
The other two give him no end of crap and he just takes it with a smile and gets his last laugh watching them fail, when his schadenfreude just explodes out of him in that cancer-curing laugh.
"after what happened in argentinia i cant sweat" is genious. For those who dont know, Clarkson is referencing 2 things, once the mob attack in argentinia in a top gear episode, and also from an interview of prince andrew who said he couldnt sweat because of adrenalin from the falklands war (which is made up to defend claims of him being a p*do)
@@shoazdon7000 yeah I thought it was a dig at prince andrew as well as his own experience by mod attack. It looks like grand tour so maybe it was filmed after the interview not too sure though
@@shoazdon7000 nah that claim by andrew was ages before that episode of the grand tour it only recently was brought up again because of the whole epstein, maxwell nonce situation
I love that when he falls off the bike in front of the tram and looks fairly jnjured, no one helps and they just beep their horn - like he didn't know he wasn't supposed to just lie on the road!
My Dad has picked up the habit of saying "It could be worse". It's gotten to the point where you could say "Dad! I've broken my leg!!" and he'd just reply with "Well, it could be worse, it could've been both!!" 😂😂
That's the positive mindset you need like when my car blew a head gasket the first time I ever started it I just said "could be worse at least it's just a head gasket)
11:55 Comedy gold. I love how bemused everyone looks and the way you can hear multiple plastic knives/forks snapping in protest as they try to eat the rock-hard battered spagbol
its the driving equivalent of that Leo DiCaprio meme where he's pointing at the screen, its always like hey that car looks familiar and then you see the plate or the driver and immediately point them out. i often follow it up with a phone call "hey, lol just saw you on the road"
Hammond has pretty much dealt with the worse situations out of the three, having multiple severe car crashes, doing scary challenges like climbing up a steep bridge in an old defender and having to hang on to the wing of a plane after the classic car challenge, he’s done pretty well for a hamster 😂
ive noticed that he tends to be the most technically intelligent when it comes to how various systems in cars work, which makes it all the funnier that he makes dumb decisions
15:36 is literally one of my favorite moments that has ever been captured on film of these three. James May is quite literally twitching over the absurdity of Hammond's painting, it just gets me laughing every time I see it.
I feel one of the most underappreciated gags is the one at 8:20, where Richard and Jeremy attach the horn to the brake pedal. I remember seeing that on TV for the first time and I got light headed because I couldn't breathe because I was laughing so hard.
I hope these shows continue to be aired for decades, it'll be an amazing look into the past for people in 50+ years time. I can imagine them finding alot of the stuff these guys did unbelievable 🤣
The shot of jeremey looking at his fried spaghetti while a party popper goes off is a clip that pops into my head randomly whenever I need to smile lol
I used to live just up the road from that Yamaha shop and bridge James May got stuck at, it's down near staffordshire university and Stoke trainstation. It was a moment of local pride for us Stokies that was.
8:05 reminded me of when I used to race mtb with a team. Probably my favorite drill was going to the top of a long, mellow downhill and putting a whistle in my mouth. Every time you touched the brakes, even a smidge, you blew the whistle. As funny as it was, it was a very useful drill for carrying momentum and saving energy
@@joshuasymonds3258 Combined joke about prince andrew’s “inability to sweat” as a result of the falklands and also the top gear crews time in Argentina, which was also related to the falklands.
Jeremy eating a egg sandwich is basically what I feel like I look like when eating lunch at work, just completely filthy and trying to suffer through a bad lunch
if you want to believe his story, he was stressed out from long shooting schedule and had just been informed that he might have mouth cancer--not really an excuse but it goes to show how easily it can be to snap and lash out when something as stupid as not having the right dinner is the final nail.
On my road bikes I always put a separate additional fuel filter in the line and carry a spare fuel filter & some fuel line . Did not seem to upset the fuel demand on smaller bikes . On larger cc bikes you may have to get a full flow type filter if they still exist .
