Simple yet full of flavors, This Punjabi Dal Fry is a common dish made throughout the homes and served in all restaurants and dhabas with their own variations. Here, I bring you the Dhaba Style of Making the Dal Tadka which is a mix of lentils cooked and tempered, then smoked. The smoke is the key to make the Dhaba or the Restaurant Style which is usually skipped/missing in the home cooked way.

I made this dal today for dinner and was amazing and Tasted DELICIOUS 😋. Only thing I missed was charcoal effect . Rest with lemon and onion with it super just like dhaba food !!! 😋. I come here for all vegetarian recipes ! 👌🏻the best !

I tried this punjabi dal tadka today! & as always it was soooooo good! I mean ....kabhi socha nhi tha ghar ki daal itni variety mein...itni tasty ban sakti hein... Dear Mastercherchef Yaman ji... 3 tsp ghee Cumin Seeds 1/4 tsp Hing 2 bay leafs 2/3 red chillies 2/3 cardamoms whole coriander chilli flakes 6/7 Garlic Ginger Green chilli 3 Onions 4 tomatoes salt coriander leaf 1 tsp Cumin powder 1/2 tsp Garam masala 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tsp coriander powder 4 tsp dry mango powder 1/2 tsp kasuri methi Happy cooking :)

Amazing recipe! I followed all the steps especially the coriander-cardomom-chilli tadka.. And substituted with chicken masala instead of garam masala. Tasted awesome. The young cook is humble, loves his job and a wonderful soul. He will definitely go places!
