Many probably underestimate the size of the fight in those horses. Out there jumping trees and putting up with a bull trying to ram them. Don’t care…. Just going to work.
Holy MOLY Mother of all Ropes...those are some DAMN good horses!!! Ive only had one mare that would go through brush like that...best horse ever, hats off to the skill level here, I don't think most people understand how much grit and determination and damn fine cowboying that takes to rope a big steer in that nasty brush!!

Good thing the guy with the single hind leg roped wasn’t tied on. Would have rim fired Ol Dale good there at 5:50 haha. Also when you got a bull to catch and you’re not riding much of a horse pulling wise you can rope a single front leg and handle a big one way easier than roping him around the neck. They don’t normally get on the fight as bad that way either. Course that bull wanted to be pretty gentle anyways. Just didn’t want to be in a small space with the other bull that had probably whipped him before. Front leg roping on is also handy because they are easier to load in a trailer. because when you get him pulled up to the back of the trailer the first front legs already loaded.
Im from new england and ive never been on a horse in my life. I know i would have absolutely no fucking idea what i would be doing but this life looks tough and amazing. How does one even become skilled at this without living/ working on a ranch ?
I’m sitting here just saying this is man. This is man shit that I want to do. I did some horse therapy for a couple days some years back. I never horses were so smart and emotional, I felt like I had a whole ass conversation with this horse I was with. Felt more with it than dogs I feel like. What do u cowboys think ?
