One of the most underrated moments of this scene is the fact that the ants apparently not only have a concept of vengeance but actually know who Dale is just by touch
@@lordlammi1562 the ants are waging global war constantly, of course they have a sense for revenge. Seriously, look up The Great Ant War. Billions of ants fight and die every day.
Ants act off of scent markers left by others of the colony, no doubt after being in close proximity to Dale for so long they would recognise his scent too.
The fact he handle those bites is crazy. So basically if loads of ants bite you, it can actually affect your heart rate. There is this one story about a woman who was parachuting in a nearby city. Her parachute couldn't open and she fell down until she landed on an ant hill. These ants sensed danger and continuously bit her all around until the medics came to take her to the hospital. The doctor told her if it wasn't for the ants, she would've been dead. The ants bit her so much that her heart was still beating and stimulated her nerves. And these ants are Fire Ants.
Astrithor there is a scene in “Travels”, an autobiography or memoirs of Michael Crichton of some amazing places he traveled (around the world) until just before he really became famous with Jurassic Park, you would like: While photographing the rainforest with his guide the moment the stop hiking 🐝 swarm both of them. Feeding on their salt from their sweat they crawled all over both. The guide didn’t flinch, used to it, but Crichton was freaked out. He continued taking pictures as 🐝 crawled over his nose, on his glasses-on the inside, and COVERING HIM. Clearly disturbed by the 🐝 the guide asked Crichton is he wanted the bees off him. The guide instructed him to stand slowly and as he did he did he wrote one by one (it felt like) they flew away. By the time he has fully stood all were gone and he got stung...zero times.
Didn't hesitate, didn't blink, didn't have a moment of doubt. Didn't even consider running now that the guy trying to kick his ass was distracted. Did that without a second thought.
For most men, the smaller the pain, the more exaggerated the reaction. Conversely, the greater the injury, the smaller the reaction. That "yeouch" probably took all the energy he had left to express.
@@belisariussmith9095 In filming the LOTR movies, the actor for Merry once got a tiny splinter in his foot. He thought it was going to be a giant one and he made a big fuss over it. The actor for *Sam,* though (not in the same scene) *GOT HIS FOOT IMPALED* and he didn't even vocalize anything. He just *stood* there.
D. Snuts Worse. He was whipped with a cat of nine tails. It tore his skin up so badly, that some of his bones were showing. To make matters worse, He was crucified where He finally gave up the ghost (expression for he died). Three days later, He was resurrected to show that God accepted the sacrifice. Because He is God, His plan of salvation continues to save those that truly believe in Him. What Christ went through is worse than dying by fire ants. Christ paid the price so that we wouldn't have to.
@@I_AM_BAYTOR I remember when I was in 10th grade I had a slide phone. A cosmo 1 or something. And custom ring tones were the shit. Makes ya feel old...
Dales always been my favorite character. He gained my respect when he did this. Immediately took responsibility for his actions and let the ants swarm him instead of a child
He's also a father so I think he gets it. Also, knowing Dale, he does insane shit like build up an immunity to ant venom by intentionally allowing them to sting him in his spare time.
Can it top Peggie and Lou Ann killing a crazed psycho killer/domestic abuser that was dressed in a big costume via a meat grinder or that time Hank and his neighbors took tools to demolish a shoddy built house during a big storm?
And thus, witnessing that his sin had wrought pain for none other than Hank Hill's son, Dale took the burden on to himself, dying a heroes death. Top 10 Anime Deaths
Jessica Stiner many of the ants, virtually all of them, died on the way back to the nest due to all the residential poison in Dale’s blood. They were never heard from again in the series. Those that made it back to be nest died of various infection and other conditions in the next few days.
*YEOUCH* *Falls out completely unconscious.* My man Dale is a legend. Will follow through with incredible amounts of paranoia and crazy conspiracy projects, but will completely stop and even intervene, once he realizes Hank's son is in danger. Dale is a real one to the bitter end.
Dale has shown that he will protect the ones he cares about, even if he is a coward. He rescued Hank and the guys when they were taken hostage, swapped his full oxygen tank with Hank's almost empty one, cracked John Redcorn in the head with a lamp because he thought Redcorn was a burglar trying to hurt Nancy and busted into Joseph's room with two guns drawn when he heard Joseph yelling.
Earlier in this episode, when Dale explained the nature of fire-ants to Hank and the gang, Hank didn’t believe that fire-ants all sting at once. Corse I’m quite surprised that when Bobby got covered in them, Hank warned him that they would all sting at once.
It is a cartoon not a anime. Anime = Japanese cartoons it only counts as an anime when made in Japan. This cartoon was in the US and they are clearly not speaking Japanese.
Dale is a family man through and through, he loves his son and his wife more than anything else in the world, that family connection also extends to Hank and his family as well, Hank is Dale’s best friend, they have their ups and downs sure like all best friends do, but Hank is Dale’s brother at the end of the day, which also makes Bobby his nephew as well, besides Bobby is also Joesph’s best friend, I honestly don’t think Dale would be able to look his own son in the eye if he turned and ran away when Hank and Bobby needed his help in a time like this.
When Dale was struck with the Stand Arrow, he developed the stand 【Alien Ant Farm】. He got power hungry and used his stand to plant pests that only he can kill. Hank assumed that Dale is controlling the ants but Dale is only using his knowledge of the insect's behaviors to manipulate them. Hank deduced that a Close-Range Power Type Stand like 【Propane Nightmare】 is the best counter to his stand after seeing that Dale isn't immune to his own pesticide. Hank was seconds away from avenging his lawn until he saw Bobby covered in ants. Hank demands that Dale releases Bobby only for Dale to reveal that can't directly control the ants. Dale realized that he has endangered so many people with his stand so he used the ants' instinctive hatred of him to save Bobby. Hank discovers DIO's flesh bud implanted into Dale forehead and he used his stand to remove it while lamenting he should have trusted Dale.
Honestly, my mind was blown when Dale revealed the true nature of [ALIEN ANT FARM]. The arc leading up to this moment had everyone, reader included, fooled into thinking that Dale could directly control insects, when all he can really do is imbue them with an intense hatred for a single person. Still kinda iffy on the ant queen coincidentally having an actual mind control stand that she used on Bobby, but I guess such suspension of disbelief is excusable when it culminates in Dale turning the ants on himself.
Even though this is suppose to be funny and sad at the same time or downright hilarious, Dale could've actually died if the fire ants stung his nasal cavity and pharynx.
Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin While it's not a heroic sacrifice in general, but it's still pretty heroic considering that he's still a good person at heart. Still a much better person then Nancy or John Redcorn (had this very long convo in the comment section already in another video, not gonna get into it since anyone could pick up on it quickly)
Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin I don't think it would have he's probably been in this situation more than enough to build up a tolerance for the ant venom
Aside from simply not wanting Bobby to get hurt, maybe Dale figured the ants would injure him less than Bobby. He's got longer limbs than Bobby, so less bites near sensitive areas for the same quantity of ants. He's also experience with insect bites and probably has a higher pain threshold, hence less likely to move and aggravate them. He's also wearing a hat so less bites to the scalp. He also might be coated in some poison since he works with it daily that might lessen their attack and drive them away. Eh...probably overthinking this.
I notice that Hanks shoes just appear, disappear and then reappear like crazy in this 2 mins lol. He has them on when he is in his lawn chair, they disappear when he is chasing Dale, and then they reappear when he is holding Dale.
You can tell Dale really loved Bobby as he was willing to sacrifice himself for him. "Greater love hath no man than him who sacrifices himself for his friends". Glad Dale turned out OK though. RIP and Godspeed to the talented Johnny Hardwick!
Comin here to this nice corner of the internet to pay my respects to a great man and one of the best voices ever to entertain us. RIP Johnny Hardwick, actor of Dale Gribble, thanks for bringing us laughs and cries and laughing cries.
