FWIW it’s KAH-led not KAY-led, dav-ROSS not dav-ROWS and DAH-lek not DAY-lek. And the Thals are pronounced THAHL not Thale. The claw really only appeared in the first story. Subsequent Dalek stories in classic Who were tentacled green blobs first seen in Genesis and subsequent stories. In Remembrance of the Daleks, Davros had mutated them again and bionically augmented the mutant itself. I’m not sure why the video talks about them having two sections then mentions the arm and gin as part of the top (it’s the mid section).
To quote the Second Doctor, "What you've done here is mostly right." (from a cybermen story not a Dalek story, sadly) The origins of the Daleks don't necessarily conflict. Terry Nation, creator of the Daleks, spells it out pretty well in the Official Dr Who and the Daleks book. Basically, the Daleks we see in the very first story are leftover Mark 2s from Davros' experiments. We can assume he had a production line, so they survived shutdown and built a city. Meanwhile, offscreen, the Mark 3s from Genesis are still buried underground yet active (Nation says they stayed down there for "thousands" of years). Everyone in the first story has incomplete information since centuries have passed since Genesis. And so does the Doctor, so he makes an incorrect guess in Dalek Invasion. It also seems to me that you got the events of the Movellan War muddled a little bit or at least gave the information in a weird order. I don't remember the Daleks making themselves more robotic to counteract the Movellans, but maybe I just missed it. The disease definitely came first, and the Daleks were defeated, though not destroyed, and are reduced to employing humanoid troopers due either low Dalek numbers or to reduce exposure or both. And, indeed, kah-led not kay-led.
Felt like I was watching that documentary that featured "penwings" that Benedict Cumberbatch did a few years back every time this ai said dalek or kaled.
@@Ragnorok657if that's A.I., it's pretty good. Other than the Dalek pronunciation problem and the weird way he says the title of each section, it sounds like an actual person that did their research
Good video but I found it grating every time the VO mispronounces things... especially the repeated switching between dah-lek (correck) & day-lek(wtf?)
Revolution of the Daleks never had a New Paradigm Dalek in charge of the Dalek Death Squad, which is a pity because that black New Paradigm Dalek looks really good. (Kudos to whoever rendered it)
I have an odd question. In Dr. who cannon, we know the dalak's outer casing started out as a kalad tank design and that there are many scavengers, scrap dealer's and arm's merchants out there who see nothing wrong with looting a battlefield. So just how many civilizations are using Dalak technology?
“Improvise, Adapt and Overcome” Bear Grylls?! Seriously?!?!🙄🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ Bear Grylls must have stolen the slogan from the “U.S. Marine Corps”! 🙄🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
11:41 Sounds like there may have been a similar way to defeat the Dalek as Cybermen if the vault is busted. Would it have gone into an emotional breakdown as a cyberman like when whatever was prohibited emotion is destroyed than self-destruct?
Where did the internal communication device theory come from? Ian climbed into a casing and you could hear him speaking fine, albeit with modulation on the voice. But his words weren’t reinterpreted.
S09E01-02 "Doctor's Apprentice / Witchs' Familiar". Clara ends up inside a Dalek and Missy (The Master) uses the miscommunication to try and get the Doctor to shoot Clara.
In the episode "The Witch's Familiar," when Clara becomes trapped inside a Dalek, she discovers that uttering phrases such as "I love you," "I'm Clara," or "I would never kill you" results in them being replaced by "EXTERMINATE" instead.
Definitely entertaining documentary narrated by an AI talking about cyber-organic killing machines 😂 Either way, don't think I want to be a Dalek, thank you very much.
Why is it, he’s saying Dalek wrong, then says it the right way, “ dar’lek “…. It seems he’s never watched doctor who….. or at least the dalek episodes.
There had been several episodes where the emperor kidnapped hundreds of thousands of humans, just to extract a few suiteable cells for creating hundreds new darleks. Sadly they were declared impure later and destroyed.
Don't know what doctor who you are watching , but doctor who series has gone down the drain. They even destroyed David Tennant's doctor in the specials. Speaking of specials, they also changed Davros by changing his epic appearance.
@@niveketihw1897Yes, because he thought we had never seen Professor Xavier in X-Men or the UNIT agent who uses a wheelchair or Isaac in Sex Education..... RTD was, in a rare lapse of judgment, being an idiot. And I'm a long-time admirer, even fan, of Russell
Watching PBS reruns of _Dr. Who_ as a child I thought, for my entire life, that Daleks were called "daRleks" because British people don't know how to pronounce English. Also, Herb is a dude that grows 'erbs, and sometimes smokes them.
This video started out poorly. Doctor Who was a BBC powerhouse but isn't anymore. And as for "showing no signs of stopping" that's either someone with zero appreciation for what Doctor Who is meant to be, or someone who hasn't watched it because it's been dying for a while now but wokeness has completely killed it now.
I am not sure about this video There’s a lot here that the video gets wrong and I know some of the Moffat episodes introduced law that is very controversial very few fans accept it and they are usually dismissed also daleks always fly since the 80s and there are other facts that just seem to be iver absent or completely wrong in this video the main fact that is wrong here is that all daleks are genetically made to hate everything and the casing doesn’t control the daleks and merely provides life support for the dalek and we know it doesn’t control what they say as daleks like the oswin dalek and when ian goes inside one it does change what he saids and also why does the video sound like it was written by an AI?
So i want know the last 2 edition of the cyberman, mainly pointing out where they adapt to any attack which group would win the cyberman or the daleks. In the future the they would use a black hole weapon to ensure the destruction of the cybermen. thats a claim the dalek dont have. I have no doubt the cyberlord are a match for the dalek. but i try to ignore ballchins horrible storyline. the Timelord comeback only to be ruined with Ballcins crap stories. but the 2nd to last cybermen i wonder if they aree match. based on what cyber controller say any marteril ieven time lord tech can be " upgrade ot absorbed
Come on, at least say that the Dalek 'race' were the Nazis, and the shape of the Dalek was a WW2 panzer tank. A Sci-fi series from the 1960's written by people who were in WW2 and wanted to show just how bad Nazis were, has a lot more importance than cybernetic goo and eye stalks. Do better with your journalism or else the Nazis win. Literally in this case.
Sad. So much lack of effort in thinking through the script. Shows/talks about the Daleks inside the casing then ANGRY VOICE MODE ON Are they robots or organic? Shows a clip of them speaking then back to angry voice CAN THEY SPEAK? States the casing is 3 parts but declares the the manipulator and gun arms are in the upper part but yet claims the Dalek inside is in the middle part which is the same level as the arms... You can do better. See me after class #wtfdidIjustwatch
