This was recorded the day T23 was placed into service. This was its first call, a reported structure fire. (It was quickly tapped out.)

@@TexasEmergencyPhotography Np! Okay, I remember seeing E13 (unsure about it) in a Pierce Enforcer. I don’t remember and I have to check back on it.

Interesting to see green lights on something other than a command vehicle (outside of the Chicago area, at least). Do you know the reason why DFD chose that color?

@@TexasEmergencyPhotography No doubt, green falls squarely within the 520-560nm wavelength that the human eye is most attenuated to, but Americans associate the color in a way diametrically opposed to its use as a warning light. If you read two lines past your highlighted section, it clearly states, "The psychological effect of green being a “safe” color or “go” action does not lend itself as a credible color to use under dangerous situations." Unfortunately, the last serious study addressing the question was the 2008 "Effects of Warning Lamp Color and Intensity on Driver Vision" by the Transportation Research Institute at University of Michigan, but they only tested white, amber, blue and red lighting, and no subsequent study that I'm aware of has considered or quantified the efficacy of green warning lights. I'm not trying to start a war here. I take firefighter safety seriously so if green lights on a rig make it more conspicuous running to calls and help keep my crews from getting run over by distracted motorists once they get there, I'd like to know and to read the data behind it.

I think Texas recently passed a law requiring emergency vehicles such as fire trucks green lights not only does it help determine who the command vehicle is but it's also much more brighter color than the other ones

I see Dallas Fire/Rescue Dept moving from Spartan to Pierce. Reason for the change?

Why do the trucks say Oak Cliff Fire Dept. but the rescue says Dallas? Oak Cliff Fire Dept. is in Edmund, OK. These don't appear to be Dallas trucks, so why are they in a Dallas Station?

Oak cliff is the area that these rig’s serve. The neighborhood is named “ Oak Cliff. “
